Normally I give 500 credits for mind healing...

But it appears most players never tip and that few players ever go in except to have their battle fatigue and mind healing .. healed.

I now think that isn't enough and want to know what you think people should tip ?

Perhaps Players should only be able to watch or listen another an entertainer if they tipped them in advance ?

Depending on how bad I need it, and how bad my mind is - thats what I base mine on. I generally do a min. of 500 and a maximum of 10k. The dancers need to earn a living too, and if their healing the wounds of 6 or 7 7k payout imperial missions, I can spare 10k.

Give it all to me!

Seriously tip what you can, if your rolling in it be generous, if you need to be careful, or your just starting out then tip what you can. A thank you works nicely too! Mostly we want to feel like you all appreciate our time. I get those tips from 50 to 10k and I am grateful for all of them, and grateful for the people who say Thank you Sendari! Oh and while your at don't forget the musicians, lots of times they get overlooked.

If theres a band/entertainer group in the cantina, I think there should be a way to tip the band and have it split between all the members.

I tip the roleplaying dancers very generously, anywhere from 3k (lowest) to 15k (highest)

While I appreciate the sentiment of wanting to make up for the dead-beats who never tip, it's not your responsibility to make up for their behavior. Tip what you think is fair for the service we provide for YOU. If you want to tip more, by all means do, but you should not feel responsible for the actions of other players.

let's write some javaScript...

int whatToTip(Entertainer e, Character me)
{
int tipAmount = me.woundsHealedBy(e);

int tipBias = 0;

if (e.isAFK())
{
// AFK entertainers deserve no tips
return(tipAmount);
}

if (e.healedWounds(me))
{
tipBias = 3;
}
if (e.flourishOrEffects())
{
tipBias += 2;
}
if (e.talkedTo(me))
{
tipBias += 3;
}
if (e.wasExceptional())
{
tipBias += 10;
}
if (me.onAdventurePlanet())
{
tipBias += 5;
if (me.feelingGenerous() && e.wasExceptional())
{
return( randomBetween(10000, 100000));
}
}

return (tipBias * tipAmount);
}

Most of those things are boolean, so you have to say:

if(e.healedWounds(me)=true)

tip();

I think I'll stick to managing the projects. Let the pro's do the coding.

Paycheck,

You HAVE to come to the cantina to get your battle fat and mind wounds healed. An entertainer HAS to heal you to get EXP. So my feeling is that were even and you don't owe me a thing (most entertaienrs will disagree with me). I acually want to entertain you while you are there, that is the whole reason I play a dancer. So IF do entertain you aplause, credits, houses,startships are all welcome tips as is a simple thank you. If you realy want a simple way to calculate a tip though how about a percentage of your last set of missions (this way you only pay from money you just earned sometimes thats a big tip and sometimes its small) if widely adopted this would get entertainers out to thsoe godforsaken rocks where the big money missions are run too.

i never ask for tips. nor do i expect them. im a dancer because i want to be and i enjoy it ..i known to sit in the cantina even if its dead and if someone shows up needing healed iw ill heal them and say farewell and safe travels to you..

from the whole time i have played swg my tips have ranged from 1 credit to 80k in credits..one guy gave me a tip of 50k credits jsut for me being dressed.and said thank you for being dressed i hate when i come into cantinas when you dancers arent dressed..

but its true not many ppl will tip us.alot of them feel we dont need to be tiped which is sad if it wouldnt be for us ..they would have major bf.

im also a medic.i will run to the hospital to heal the same ppl i had jsut healed there mind and bf wounds .

and dont see tips *giggles*..

so basiculy tip what you can.. if you cant tip jsut say thank you. alot of us appreciate a thank you..
