Ok, we're allowed to talk about these all official like now. 
Jessi suggested that we have a TC-Bria testing Cantina Crawl since we can use the blue frogs to all become Masters and no one will go broke. She tried to start making some hawtpants for the event, but the server was down at the time.
Anyway, it's still a great idea. Even if we can't get a big formal event going in time, everybody should take their bestest in game and forum buddies over there for some testing play time!
There are some major changes in these fixes, so they take a little bit to get used to... over all I love them and just want our Dance Tools we keep asking for even more so we can use these new animations to their full potential... with our own personalization and style. *daydream sigh*
So! Everybody go take a look! Go in groups! Have parties and make new friends!
Also, Balgosa has made a video of each of these fixes and it should be on ign vault about now... so watch out for his post as well.

I loved the changes to Basic, Rhythmic, Poplock and the fix of Lyrical.
Footloose, not so much. Watching it in the movie made the flourishes look like rejected flo's from Basic and Rhythmic. Actually DANCING Footloose made me feel like I should be dancing in bear skins around a fire in a cave.
The original Footloose was never something to boast about, but these new Footloose flourishes seem to have absolutely no relation to the idle animation portion of the dance (Base dance?). At least the old/current ones look appropriate with the name and non-flourish animation.
Again, ALL the other flourish changes I adore.

Footloose is ridiculous! I love it! Can't wait for my vertically challenged, blue haired, beer bellied toon to perform it.
Is the base dance for the new quest dance reward fixed as well?

Yes, when I tested the flos over the weekend, Footloose was the only one I couldn't stomach. It was bearable in it originally form (slightly) but now it's down right riduclous. However, people like Til keep telling me that it looks great in a group, so I'll try to be open about it (grumblegrumblegrumble).
I'll take a look at the video a bit later when I have more time. Thanks Bal!

Footloose is pretty ridiculous. 'Spose somepeople like it kinda in the way that people love really ugly dogs... they're just so ugly, they're cute.
The thing about it is more that the flos are more fluid than the old ones. Still, a lot of it looks wild and physicallyuncontrolled... somewhat more like flailing than dancing. An improvement over the old one, but still not all that great in my opinion.
Poplock got a very nice overhaul. It's still not my personal favorite dance style, but it's in a lot better shape now.
The addition of 4 more flos to Lyrical... that I like. Now, about that base dance...

oh wow thanks for the vid....what they did with lyrical is fabulous . though i am gonna miss the old poplock 5 flourish. the wave cracked me up

I am not sure if I like the changes to rhythmic though. It looks like a tribal dance now, kinde nice for our parties at the beach of Naboo (espacially since everybody can join by forsaking a few scout skills that can be relearned in after twenty minutes of hunting and picking up novice entertainer)...
But it still doesn't look really natural and it has now one flourish less since flourish 4 and 6 are equal.
They put a new flourish 8 into basic. This is basically an improvement, but the flourish looks... interesting at best. Actually it looks an epeleptic attack, espacially when you watch you character from the back (hint: watch it from front first time).
I do not actually prefer the new rhythmic to the old one... though the old didn't really look either. Better have this discussed out BEFORE they put it live.
Since I didn't dare to pick up dancer from the frogs (I was entertainer 2444 and novice dancer when they put JTL on TC) I do not have the skills to try out more, but I've seen that poplock seems to have to favourably changed, only had a slight look and I normally never dance poplock, but that may very well change.
Oh, and try out the new outfits and help the tailors rant because of the bugged extremely revealing skirts, since they are dancer outfits. (I don't like bugs in my clothes)

Finally . . . I can talk about these.
I think I am the lone dissenter here. I am not happy! 
The new lyrical flos are good, but not great. I simply can't figure out the problem they have with motion capture, I meanyou can buy decent (read smooth) motion capture on the net, why does SOE have a problem with it for the higher end dances?
Footloose should have been left alone it was passable before it is unwatchable now. 
Basic and rhythmic . . . /sigh I'm trying hard not to be negative but I'm not that good of an actor. I just cant see how these flos got put in they look like random convulsions instead of integrated moves.
It all comes down to devs simply not caring. I quess in a way I'm glad they havn't touched the exotics, better to leave them with a few good flos than a full slate of junk.

The only really nice animations coming out of the new release are the new emotes, its interesting in that these nice animations are for everyone where as the others are for the dancers. This coupled with the new "dance" has about done me in.
Please accept my apologies for sounding bitter but I REALLY love this game and this profession and its tearing me apart to see whats happening to it.

I know I’m in the minority here but I absolutely love the new Footloose.
Not as a solo dance, hmm no way.
Little over the top for single dancing but for /bandflos I think it will be my most favorite.

Actually I’m pretty happy with all the new flos for other dances also, only wish they would finally get to the Exotic and finish it.
I don’t have the Theatrical on the Test so don’t know if there are any changes, did anyone try it lately?

I am happy for any new content. Now all they have left to do is fix the broken dances and give us real flourishes for the exotics... which I REALLY wish they'd do, it's such a sexy dance but so limited.
