Thread: Fleshwrap? We don't need no steeenkin' fleshwrap!
I now have a large house on Ahazi (-6875 5491 Naboo, near Theed) with all the tailored items in game. I got tired of never knowing what was available, so I just got one of everything! So put down that fleshwrap and pair of hotpants and come see what all else there is to wear.
I am a tailor myself, and I do wish that some of those dancers would get creative once in awhile. I went up the color and formal wear trees, instead of field and casual like many do, so I don't have access to the bras and other such wear that some of the dancers crave, but I do have plenty of dresses that I can make. Some of them are beautiful and are perfect for playing instruments in. The intricate dress (which is the wedding gown worn by Padme in Ep 2) is a personal favorite of mine. The lace overcoat and lack of sleeves on the dress itself makes it a beautiful gown in any color, and it looks good on almost anyone. (Unless you're one of those "humor" characters that is purposely made morbidly obese for the sake of dancing almost nude in order to gross people out.)
Personally, I think the fleshwrap is ugly. It looks like a pair of japanese men's underwear with a bunch of ribbon on it. The leotard is the same. Why do people crave these things? Just because they show skin? There's much more tasteful outfits that do that.
Oh well.
i saw your post on the ahazi board, and forgot to make a comment...
there's a very useful sticky on the tailor forum titled Tailor Info: Useful Tools, Trainer Locations and Catalog Sites (v3.1) that has catalog sites with clothing in it. i've been using nivea's website for as long as i can remember (http://www.thehonorempire.org/swg/nivea/index.shtml), but there are a few fellow ahazi tailors (like ay'lish and teli, both from my area) on the list.
i haven't seen your showroom yet, but i'll drop by some time ![]()
What's really funny is my favorite outfit so far is mostly made by an armorsmith ![]()
It's a light tan set of chitin legs, boots, and bracers with black tipless gloves (chitin has a lot of black), and a tan low-cut top with black trim that matches the color of the armor. It's a bit hard on the dancing stats, but it looks cool. You can do something similar with bone armor (preferrably made with voritor segments so it has kinetic protection... might as well make it useful) if you want less encumberance, but the only good colors there are a yellow/black combination.
I happen to like the leotard and fleshwrap, even though I wear them the least. I tend to alternate between various setups I've compiled and I happen to get a lot of compliments. ^-^ one need not wear a metal bikini with those bikini bottoms things. I'm creative enough to get several outfits out of only a few different things. But, I happen to like how I look in the leotard... the fleshwrap is the least used, but looks good with more than one master doing bandflourishes.
I tend to keep them reserved for when I know I am with a tasteful group of people that won't suddenly turn into rabid wolves and drool on me ^-~
They are there, they are fun, use them. But there is a LOT of other fun stuff too to be creative with.
And the biggest rule of thumb for me.... the right clothes for the right dance, not necissarily the least clothes for all dances. There's just some kind of attention I don't want ^-^

Sucker for saving animals- even if they aren't real. ::sigh::
personally i alternate my outfits between fleshwraps, leotards and a varioty of dresses
i like to make sure my outfits never get old so that way my dancer always looks tasteful even in the slutiest of clothes
My dancer has one of those fishnet leotards, for that "I want attention, give me attention now and drool at my feet" look.
She has a long skirt and revealing top for a classier, but still sexy and attractive look.
She has a slip dress which I have her wear most often, since it increases her wound healing by 25.
And I recently bought her a casual outfit, pants and a jacket to wear over the revealing top along with boots and gloves, as travelling attire, and combat attire for when she eventually begins to fight [which she will, in time].
That said, I wish there were some place on my server to look at every clothing possibility. Even in real life, despite being a guy, I love clothes shopping... I like to be able to determine how I look. It transfers to this game as well... anyone know a place like this on Bloodfin?
"The leotard is the same. Why do people crave these things? Just because they show skin?"
An opinion is just that... an "opinion", but it all fairness, the exotic leotard is the most "Star Wars" of any dancers outfit, in that it was actually worn by a dancer in the movies. (Oola in Jabba's court.)
