Thread: Fleshwrap? We don't need no steeenkin' fleshwrap!
While I'm certainly guilty of wearing a fleshwrap (I own two, actually) and an exotic leotard, I find myself wearing a light bustier/hot pants/dress slippers/long uniform gloves combination more often. It's a lot more versatile- I can switch in a skirt in place of the hot pants for a more modest look or a small bustier in place of the light for a flirtier one. Before they added the awful snakeskin texture, I had a pair of infiltration leggings to round the set out, but they look pretty bad with it now. I've got that particular set in several colors, too, to match or contrast different hair, eye, and makeup colors; emerald green goes with red hair and green eyes (I've been called Poison Ivy when wearing this getup), red goes with blonde hair, bright red lips, and brown eyes, sky blue goes with white hair, blue lips, and ice blue eyes, and black goes with black hair, dark red lips, and grey eyes.
I think we're preaching to the choir here, though. I haven't seen too many of the folks that prance around in leotards spamming trashy emotes postingon this board... at least none I recognize. ![]()

Where I typically wear either a long skirt with a cute top (bikini top, sports bra top, etc), my first dancer outfit went along with my concept for the character. I wanted to be Twi'lek Slave.. what better thing to wear than the Leotard that was so evident in the movies on a Twi'lek Slave. Matter of fact, I still bust out my exotic leotard when I want to be more of the slave girl... or when I want to go riding. The leotard is one of the better outfits to wear when you go riding out on your mount. Graphics don't look as bad.
But.. if you're looking for something different.. try finding a burgundy special ops jacket. Those things look awesome.. and you can pull off a very fun look for doing some of the other dances.. aside from exotic. Hell, with the right outfit, even poplock looks good.
I have a house full of clothes, and I change them around a LOT. I like the long skirts, but with all the kick moves in the dances they tend to look odd. But right now one of my favorite outfits is a pair of red infiltrator leggings with black uniform boots and a black flared-cuff shirt with red trim.
I also put a black and purple slip dress with the same uniform boots and a black casual jacket and it looks cute and slightly punkish.
When I go shopping, though, I tend to buy separates in two or three colors and mix and match. I have the revealing top, fashionably pleated skirt, striped pants, and light bustier in four colors each, and then I work the accessories and jackets for each outfit so I get a ton of looks from afew pieces. I also have several gowns in the same shades (black, red, emerald green, and a very pale lemon yellow that's almost beige) so I can move the accessories back and forth and have them all work.
If you are on Tarquinas, look for Casa de Damara on Tatooine. (I think she's near Mos Eisley but I know she's on the planetary map.) She has a LOT of stuff laid out in a LOT of different colors. I got some great ideas there.

I just started my dancer about 3 days ago. I just bought a nice outfit which isn't a Exotic Leotard or Fleshwrap. First, appearance.Chiaa is human femalewith brown skin and copperly-orange hair. (I'm also an IM so I am having fun changing hair styles when I want)
My outfit at the moment is all white. A light bustier, white shorts, and white uniform boots. It looks great and doesn't look slutty. I plan to get some gloves to match and probably a cloak. I got a 5k tip last night within 15 minutes of getting back with it all on.

I tend to wear stuff that gets me reported. LOL I'm not one of those cyber-dancers, by ANY means, but I have no problem whatsoever wearing things that I know will get all the men to tip me. My opinion has always been: there are quite a few computer geeks who play this game, and they'll jump at the chance to see ANY sort of breasts, pixellated or no.
So my preferred dancer outfit is black hot pants, black high quality boots and a black cloak, without a shirt. It is by FAR the most revealing outfit and got me 300k in tips in three days. LOL
I have another outfit that I LOVE, and that tons of people rave over when I wear it. I have a full suit of red composite armor. I will sometimes wear the boots, leggings and upper arm pieces, along with my red and black metal bikini, red large pendantand long black gloves. It's a very warrior-ish look and I get tons of compliments on it.
I have a black exotic leotard that I wear when I'm doing bandflourishes with other master dancers. I actually love the exotic leotards as long as they're not white. The white ones look like soccer netting to me.
Heh. I know what you mean, I'm guilty of the same- I own and wear that exact same combination at times, even though I'm by no means a skinny girl. The exoticleotard really accentuates my figure, which can be a good or bad thing depending on the audience. The fleshwrap has a slimming effect and looks quite nice, however.
As a note on the white leotards, there was a period of time where the exotic leotard had some serious bugs and could only be made in white. I got my first during that period, so I had a white one for a while. It's since been replaced with a light blue one that I like much better.

I am guilty of owning a fleshwrap in every color. Heh. But I also own a "military style" get-up to dance in for the troops (green/gold metal bikini top, matching hot pants, matching duster and green ubese boots), and many many elegant dresses for formal. I also prefer to travel in one of my grand healers robes (white/greenish gold trimor red/black trim) because the change from that to the others is usually quite dramatic. I have danced in my full ubese armor too, but that is usually as a way to relieve boredom waiting for shuttles. ![]()
I am also very guilty of giving away my outfits to new dancers.. lol. I make enough money to replace them and when they compliment you and you know they won't be able to afford/find it why not. We were all there once, dancing in desert crawlers, flex form shirt and red shoes.
Well, I've joined the Flesh-wrapped dancing corps now. A friend gave me one as a present so how could I not wear it? Looks good. (Its white too so thats cool)
