Thread: Number 1 issue for Dancers?
Also if you could include a solution for whatever you see as being your #1 issue that would be great. (if needed of course)
Top Issue: ?
Proposed Soultion: ?
Issue : AFK dancer running long macro to achieve master level without work.
Solution : disable the possiblity to call your macro in loop back.

The thing that bothers me most, personally, is how terrible the basic steps for some of the upper level dances look (formal and lyrical mostly). The flourishes look good (with exception of the newly created ones). I don't understand why it is that the higher level dances have terrible looking basic steps while the lower level dances have decent basic steps and horrible flourishes.

I think I have a pretty good feeling what it is but its your opinion that matters here not mine. So if you all would please post what you see as the biggest problem or #1 issue with Dancing I would sure appreciate it. Please post only and I mean ONLY ONE issue and no more. I'll get to more soon but I need your biggest gripe now.
Actually, my ONE biggest gripe could be addressed in such a way as to solve several problems.
As it stands, Entertainers seem to have the image of "the Sims" of SWG. We have very little effect on the Civil War and nothing tangible to offer players other than BF heals. I think we can be both the social class of the game AND offer something valuable -- in one fell swoop, reducing the desirability of AFK Macroing and improving our accessibility to tip income. It could also help alleviate one of the biggest complaints in PvP right now - mind damage.
All they have to do is alter the existing Mind Buffs we already give to players. Make them targetable, so that we can select who gets them. Let Novice Dancers give lower level mind buffs, too. And extend the duration of our buff to something competitive with Doctor buffs. As a Master Dancer, why is my buff only 30 minutes to a Master Doctor's 2 hours? If it's by target selection and /command only, AFKers are going to find it much more difficult to justify and continue their practice.
In a nutshell? My biggest gripe is that our Master-only mind buffs aren't worth much. They could be so much more.
Our number one issue is our missions being worthless and boring.
The easist solution I can think of would be to make the dance missions value based on the exact dance to perform and the location. For instance an exotic4 dance performed on Endor would be a high return mission while basic on a starter planet would be a low return mission. To add some excitement and fun to the missions make them puzzles or riddles that they player has to think about to find the exact location.
Issue: There is no point to playing when my job can be done by someone who is asleep. I'm soo upset about this I haven't logged on in a week as I can't think of anything to do as a dancer that is worthwhile. Maybe I'll take up chef.. no nevermind, that is broken too.
Solution: Do SOMETHING to eliminated AFK macros. I was always big on accept service pop ups (as opposed to /deny) and focused mind buffs. Give me something that sleeping beauty can't do.

The generic Cantina Layout. There is currently so much wasted space in cantinas and there is just not good space to entertain.
My requests to change a cantina:
- Have people enter not at the narrow ends, but in the long middle. This would remove the current bottlenecking, I also find the entrances to be extremely laggy, not sure if opening into a wider area would make this better or worse. (The one benefit to the narrow entrance is you can see someone enter).
- Move the bar area into one of the alcoves. The bars are currently a large waste of space.
- Put a raised stage, the width of the current bar, down the middle of the cantina.
