Well on Chilastra the newest buff bot trick is to put in their spam message the name of an atk entertainer, mainly ones who have been vocal about their dislike for the buff bots, telling players that all their buffs are courtesy of this person and to be sure and thank them.
You people...yes you buff bot people (that do this) disgust me.
I don't like buff bots, will never think that you folks provide a "service" but this really takes the prize.

When they thank you, you should make a suggestion that they tip you whatever they can afford so that you can continue the service. Tell them tha buffbot is a limited character and any tips will just be wasted as it can't havemuch in credits like the trial accounts.

In Coronet, It was MY name that was in the macro. I feel honored. Guess the Bot didn't like my Bol parked on her.
Regardless, I just ignore these people now. Whoever wants 110% mind enhancements knows where to go.

I recommend a bantha to deal with bots like these. Much larger AND more fragrant than a bol.

well. it (being a bantha)wouldnt think more fragrant, unless it was wet... imagine the wet fur smell from a bantha... but honestly if you want smelly i would suggest the ape like things from naboo (cant remember their name right now.)

As a buff botter, I think that behavior totally sucks. I'm sorry that on your server, you have to deal with an A-Hole like that.

They actually claim to have bots on other servers, including Naritus and (I think) Eclipse. Two of their forum names are Fetima and Juliet-, also known as Chilastra buffbots Karina (Theed bot that decided to thank me ) (alt name Kelsea), M'aria (in Coronet, I can't recall her main name), and Tashi (the Dantooine MO bot).

Karina and M'aria have successfully flamed at least one Entertainers of Chilastra Masters list into deletion, and had several other discussions locked and deleted. I've tried for a very long time to play nice and even attempted to partner with them to advocate live entertainers and the EOC chat channel, but to no avail. They claim to be there to help the community. Public botting in locations often brimming with masters at primetimeis disgusting, especially when those masters are ignored while a steady stream walk in and ask to be invited to their groups.
I'd love to take some action, but I don't know what to do. The majority of the loudmouths on our forums tend to support bots and flame anybody that opposes them without listening to reason or considering the entertainer views. *shrug* It's driving me to leave the server. It's exactly what made me leave the game before the announcement was made that they would end it.

Hmm..so why would players from one server choose to set up buff bot cartels on other servers?

Isn't the point of a cartel to corner a market so that you can drive out all other competition and then raise the profits in an effective monopoly once all other competition has been eliminated? Hmm, doesn't sound like the buffbots are trying to be bearers of goodwill to the player community. Sounds like they are colluding to corner a market so that they can become richer and cause more inflation in the game economies.

And they've got a new bot out of the barn. A male this time..odd as even their combat characters have been females on Eclipse (their home server). He's training in Cnet as we type.
