Then Check the "Buy SWG credits now" web sites for how namy credits are on sale, for REAL cash on Eclipse.

They are using this to make real money. No proof, pure speculation, however all signs point to, "yes."

This is absolutely laughable!

Yes, people are selling SWG credits for real money (much less real money now that there's another known credit dupe).

But these people are selling MILLIONS of credits!

How much dancing do you have to do to get your first million credits? How about your 5th million? 10th?

These "cartels" aren't about turning bot-tips into cash. Nice dream though.

I just don't know where to start with that.

Is M'aria a buff-bot?

With that sort of income being generated, why are Entertainers whining so much?

Hell, I can't do 10 mil a week (consistently) with 4 accounts mining the best stuff that spawns!

Last night they were standing up to 20 deep in front of Karina (the one in theed) begging to be let into her group witha minimum of 3 master dancers at any point in time(myself included) telling them we'd be happy to buff them and they'd reply that they would rather wait for the bot. I buffed 3 last night and my partner 4..all, with the exception of a new player that we just kind of tackled, are friends of ours who usually come looking for us anyway. If someone within earshot of me asks for a buff, I send them a tell. We monitor a chat channel that we've been advertising and we get a lot of non-entertainers chatting..but rarely does anyone come in to ask for a buff.

Many of the PA run towns have resident buffbots, but these 3 (all in the same guild with a 4th training up dancer now) are in the NPC cantinas.

BY the way.

Right now, 5mil on Eclipse is around $50 (varies from site to site).

Just doing a little homework here.

Why can a buffbot make 10mil in a week, when an at-the-keyboard master cannot? That's the inherent advantage to bots. They're on 23/7.

Let's say I'm in Theed Cantina for three hours during prime time. In that three hours, I make about 200k. Then I log off to go to sleep, and the next day I don't log on because I'm working. When I get home, and I've had dinner with my husband, attended to chores that need doing, done my homework, etc.; I might be able to log on again at prime time. So there, it's been 24 hours (23minus the hour for reset) and I've made 200k.

What about the buffbot that is theoretically logged in and buffing for those entire 23 hours? Let's say conservatively that the buffbot makes 50k an hour, as an average. That's only five buffs an hour at 10k each, which is about standard in most parts. It's not hard to imagine getting five customers an hour, even at the wee hours of the morning. In 23 hours then, the buffbot clears 1,150,000.

1,150,000 in 23 hours, vs. my 200,000 in 23 hours. It's not hard to see the competitive advantage to being botted out 23/7, is it? Seven days of 23 hour botting, with our conservative 50k per hour profit estimate, nets that bot 8,050,000 at the end of the week.

Suddenly 10mil per week doesn't sound so hard to believe, does it?

I didn't even go into the cantina last night..sometimes I just have to be away from it all or I'll just scream. I don't think any of us have seen a 100k night in Theed or Coronetsince the bot guild came along. Should we just give up? I don't know what to do anymore. How do you have more patience than someone who isn't even there?

This is exactly why Calia hasn't danced either. Ever notice how many of the people with buf bots call themselves "buff bot owners"? It's all too sad, they are virtual slave owners....
