There's another thread on the page concerning a badge given to a certain doctor for his "services" as well....

*ponders leaving the dancing profession*
I've stuck to it because, well, I roleplay a character, and it's very 'her' to do this, right from when she was born. But I could find plenty of reasons for her to leave it in Character. I dunno, maybe my faith will be restored, have to wait and see what's in store for us but if this post is true, then it's a sad sad day.

Oh, this is just terrible! That badge should be revoked if the dancer was indeed a buffbot!!! Otherwise, that CSR might as well have given a badge to the NPCbarkeep in the Moenia cantina for all badges are now worth . . .

Okthat just made me hit rockbottom. We have been ignored, derided andslapped in the face. This amounts to kicking someone in the teeth when they are down An award to a buffbot. . .that CSR has just validated the entire "zomibie-macrotainer" existence. Didn't that CSR even have a clue? Apparently not. The award should be revoked. Thats not even worth an award for creative macro writing since its all cut and paste.
No smileys in this post. I'm sad. I'm wondering is it even worth it anymore?

I was wondering, given the buffbot was afk. Do they even know they have received a badge?
We are all complaining (rightly so) about it but there is no indication they asked for it and may not yet be aware they have received it! After all the system message will have long since drowned by now.

The badge will appear in their bio. It is the principal/precedent here as well.

I knowyou can find out, it just made me laugh when I realised he/she could be blissfully unaware of the storm he/she has kicked up.
I agree it's the principal which is why I suggested a new question on the entertainer boards for the 19 questions round.

I go in cantinas and I can stand around for hours waiting to buff people but they'll ignore me for a buff bott. To see one get a badge is the most disheartening thing I've seen in ages. People are fired up that they cant find live dancers so they are happy for buff bots but they way other people in game as well as SOE treat us... I can honestly say that i'm starting to doubt my conviction in keeping dancer. I've been a dancer since i started this game last august.... for the first time I'm starting to wonder why I hold on to it

This single act is the only thing in all my time playing SWG that is making me consider dropping Dancer on all my toons ![]()

Agreed. On one hand, SOE says "We dislike what AFK macroing has done to the game and especially the entertainer professions, and we are looking for ways to fix this" and then they turn around and reward people who do it. This is complete garbage.
