This is the ultimate insult.
Panthu, I know how hard you are working for us and I totally appreciate all you do but things have reached the point where a dev needs to, at the very least, acknowledge our existence and the existence of our concerns. They've just officially validated the buffbots over the live entertainers as better representatives of our professions.

The bio of the bot in question even reads that she *is* a bot...doing "mind jobs" as well .... certainly as offensive a description as certain player names they've removed--this is a game kids play... and writing a bio that implies well..certain things, is as offensive as names they make players remove.
Perhaps this ought to be the very next question we ask the developers-- if they dislike AFK'ng--why do they reward it with badges?
If anything--they ought to go back, take the badge away and suspend the account....but perhaps the CSR's who play are allowing their own personal bias for how they play (as combat characters) to influence their decisions in awarding badges.

I've suggested a question in the entertainer question thread. It's based on the logic in my thread on this board. (Can someone please find a fault in the logic!)

I wish there were more AFK combat-types camping uber loot drops.
ATK Combat professions are ruining this game!!!

When I first heard this news last night, I was so stunned that I could comment no more than I did above in this thread. It was the first time that I had ever considered giving up Dancer and SWG entirely.
But now something has changed. My despair has officially turned to outright anger over this. Mere words cannot describe how offensive this CSR's action has been to me.
I am working on a statement now.

Have fun with your statement. I'm going to see if the community is open to something.

This is one of the best examples of how and why we need to present a unified front to the devs and SOE. Handing out badges of honor to non-players is the greatest slap in the face we entertainers have received to date. However, we all must not go off half-cocked - that could defeat our purpose and be detrimental to our cause. Perhaps Panthu could present the devs (and the CSR management) with a suscinct and well written letter of outrage that we all approve of. At the same time, we can't sit on this issue. Action must be swift.
I flat refuse to give up dander now! I'm just pig-headed enough to be willing to defy what almost appears to be an unpresidented attitudeby SOEitself that our profession (and our money) is no longer ofinterest to them.

Hmm, I have to tattle tell on myself a little bit here... I have already shown my "outraged" hiney quite a bit in the Corre Forum. Tiaga and I posted new threads on this at the same time in there... mine was on the reaction from Ents and getting an apology, Tiaga's was on the very sane question of "why is this happening?"
He was very calm and polite about it... and his lack of "outrage" led to me foaming at the mouth and derailing his thread. So... /hangs head... yes, I think I will need to run my email by you guys. I'll start working on it now.

I've also chimed in with a brief note in Tiaga's thread expressing concern about this.
