I'd rather have something more substantial though.

I think I'd like to have new items, also - I just am not sure what would be viable replacements. Special movements or effects? Fame levels?

I'd like to see new stuff occupying those boxes rather than just splitting what we already have between them.

Not a decision I'm looking forward to and just getting the points back would make my life so much easier. Sorry.Ikewe
My aversion to this (and trust me, I wish I could have novice pistoleer so I am seeing both sides...) is that if in the future we do get a revamp we're gonna want that tree and want it to be full 'value' so we get the most out of it..
So I think that's the million dollar question, isn't it? Revamp or no?
Or else, merge dancer and musician into ONE profession, "Performer", and make the wound line from Dancer be the musical knowledge line (and just merge the 2 tech lines into one, since they are 3/4 the same in what they do anyway).

Dancer only clothing line. From what I've read there will be armor certs now... why not make new clothing/item that will only be craftable/wearable/usable by a dancer?
Items that work much like glow sticks or something that trace much like a special ability, clothing that has flowing effects much like that. Special Effects clothing that lights up when you do flourishes... or something to that nature.

Pressing their listing to the 1st few pages ofa global bazzar search instead of page 43?

Endorsing Merchants? - Allow an entertainer to spend experience point (dance/music/healing) to make a merchant's listing in the search featurehighlighted in some ways. Bold text? Two line listings?
Great idea, accessories would work well there too!

Even after finding out about the CU I'll still be a dancer so I'll give one of my very few ideas.

1. Either give us the points back that they now take.
2. Let them be quest filled trees - like you do in space - you complete a quest and a certain amount of xp is granted. Why not tie things in like the Theater Quest or add other quests for these trees - so as we complete each one we move up. These quests would give us entertainer specific items or skills or new dances or songs.

Novice medic won't be needed everyone can throw stims on themselves according to the docs. For me it is even worse, I'll have to give up the knowledge tree of dance that I enjoy to keep TKM since I'm master ent and master musician to simply meet the MM description of playing all songs and instruments.
I rarely heal myself. I use my medic skills on others - heal bleeding, drag incap'd player, that sort of thing. From my perspective all the things people have suggested as a replacement shouldn't be a replacement, we should have them automatically as part of our profession. But maybe I'm greedy and selfish
It is now time for them to curry our favor for a change. They want some nice eye candy in their cantinas? Then bow down to the entertainer profs and shower us with entertainers' only perks and give us those points back. Voila! Problem solved.
And while they are at it I want a darn visible sign on my cantina dang it!!
cheers,
