Hello everyone /waves

I am new to SWG (3 weeks) and I love being a dancer and the fun things that come with it (meeting new people, wearing new clothes, etc.)

But I am really confused. I wanted to become a dancer -not an entertainer, musician or Image Design person at this time. I understood when two columns of the entertainer "tree" were filled I was able to persue the profession Dancer. Will I become a master dancer when I have two columns filled or do I have to have the entire "tree" filled to become a master dancer?

I should note that I don't like playing with effects becausethere are usually enough people doing that without me adding to the lag. I thought about going to some remote cantina but then. . no one visits and I get lonely

Oh and I love the movie of the new props. I just hope people will still stop into the cantina to see us (I am also hoping to get into a dancing group to try that whole /bandflourish thing!!)

Thanks! and any other advice would be greatly appreciated (even though I know things are going to change soon.

Currently, when you fill up the Dance and Ent Healing column of Entertainer, the next step is to earn enough Dance XP to qualify to learn Novice Dancer. Once you train in that you open up the four columns of the Dancer profession. To earn the title of "Master Dancer" you must fill all four columns and train the Master box. Now there are changes coming probably next week. Entertainer Healing XP is going to change to Entertainer XP. It will be earned through flourishing while dancing (similarly to Dance XP, but without the counting down that Dance XP does) whether or not others /watch you. BF is going to be removed so there will no longer be any more Entertainer Healing. The columns that are now "Healing" columns will be renamed and will be filled with the new Entertainer XP. Those are the main changes that affect leveling in Ent from what I can see. There is, of course, the new dance coming and the new props as well.

Good luck to you, and have fun dancing!

To become a dancer you must complete the two trees of the entertainer profession as you have done, then you must:

1- Earn enough XP to qualify as dancer.

2- Go to an NPC Dancer trainer to get the novice level of dancer after you have enough XP. You can not have an advanced profession novice level (the big block at the bottom of the trees) taught by another player it has to be one of the NPC trainers.

Good luck!

P.S. In game look at your menu thingy at the lower left of the screen. You will see a lighting bolt there. Click on it and it will bring up your skills tree display. Looking at entertainer it shows which two trees you need for dancer. Then go to the top of the entertainer screen and click where it says dancer. That will give you the dancer screen. The big block at the bottom will tell you how much XP you need to qualify for novice. The rest of the boxes ALL must be filled up to and including the master box at the top for you to become a master dancer.

Hi Oloni

Welcome to Show Business! There's no business like it!

You start on the path to becoming Master Dancer by completing all the skill boxes in the two dance "trees" in the Entertainer Profession. Once those are comlpete and you have enough skill points, you qualify for Novice Dancer which you must train from an NPC trainer (found in NPC city theatres). Once you have Novice Dancer, you must complete all skillboxes in all 4 "trees" of the Dancer profession AND the "master" box. Then you will be a Master Dancer.

You can see the Dancer Profession trees by opening your skills window (alt-s), clicking on Entertainer profession (top left where your "skills" are displayed) and then clicking "to Dancer" at the top of one of the Entertainer Dance skill trees.

Hope this helps.

Anyone else please feel free to elaborate on this or correct me if I'm wrong.

Best regards & good luck.

Thank you all for the answers!

I know I have novice dancer and I can't wait to get home and check out what I do have. I am looking forward to doing something other than break dancing. I keep having this urge to find a boom box and a big sheet of cardboard.

Tumbling makes me dizzy and it's hard talking to folks when you are doing backflips. It makes it hard to talk to patrons as well - especially when you kick them in the head!

I do thank you for all of the advice on this forum. It has been a lifesaver!

Thanks again!

Ok, I'm ready to vote for no Ent XP turn in for FS.

I was always on the fence from the get go, but this is just goofy. We have no content at the village. When we ask for it, we're told it's not for this section of the game and we should respec. That still makes no sense to me considering that Combat, Crafting, and Medical all have content there and I don't understand how we can be such the odd man out, but whatever...

This is enough.

I am feeling very very discouraged, honestly.

I HATE HATE HATE the idea that people like this who just want to exploit the system make us feel so frustrated that we want to give up some of our benefits just to thwart them. I mean, I want to unlock eventually and I don't want to have to get medic exp to do it. It's bad enough that I have to get combat exp.

But yeah, I know what you mean.

All I can even do any more is keep begging.. and begging.. and begging the devs.. please, please.. get rid of AFK.. please..

I'm wondering if there's hope left. I don't want to wonder. I want to feel certain that this isn't the way we're meant to be, and that a fix is coming. But I'm losing faith...

I need a cookie.

Definitely with you, Panthu.

The increasein AFK bots would be appalling.

Its incredibly frustrating that times are tough enough for entertainers as it is atm, without "visitors" coming in and degrading us further because their primary interest is in how much AFK time they must calculate for XP cappage in order to unlock or fill boxes X, Y and Z.
