Thread: Force Dancing
the dancer can freeze in time for X amount of seconds. Using the comand wile frozen will cancel the effect. Say your doing the jump splits and use the comand you would hang in the air for say 5 seconds or untill you used the command again then you would continue the flourish/dance from where you left off.
the dancer would move in slow motion for X amount of seconds. using the command while in slow motion would cancel the effect.
this command is a toggle between the way we work now and having a new flourish interupt an old one. So with this toggled on pressign a flourish in the middle of a flourish would stop the old flourish and start the new one.
the is another toggle between how we work now and being able to cue the next flourish just like musicians do. So say you where dancing basic and did flourish 1 then pressed flourish 2 right away it would "cue" flourish 2 and start it right after flourish 1 completes. Note it is very important that having interuption toggled on would negate this ability. The reason for this is if you had some flourishe3s cued and hanged your mind you could use interption to bypass.
Assuming one now does quests or something to become 'force-sensitive', is that what we're talking about here? Once you have that invisible switch turned on, you somehow become a better dancer? Or do you invest skills into the Jedi tree or something to get these enhanced skills?
Does this mean now that there will be Jedi Dancers? My understanding was that Jedi was a profession in which you could be NOTHING else. Has that changed?
Thanks for any information, I'm just a bit confused.

I have a few questions about all this. I admit I was away for a while and maybe missed something.

The idea that being a Jedi still requires your complete focus hasn't changed, I think.
From the way I understand it, and I am hardly a definitive source on this, once you do the Jedi quests your character becomes Force Sensitive and a new character slot opens. You can then run the quests again with your new character to make them Force Sensitive too, and dedicate them to being a Jedi, or just use them to train in more professions but still be force sensitive.
Your original character is Force Sensitive, so you can make them drop all skills and focus on becoming a Jedi, or you can keep your skills and utilize new Force Sensitive abilities to enhance your current professions (better aim, better crafting, better terrain negotiation or whatever - those are only examples, not necessarily real skills you can get). I also hear that being Force Sensitive might let you use some basic skills from professions you haven't learned Novice in, like one can do basic surveying without Novice Artisan (but you can't make survey tools), or you can use a tent without Novice Scout (though you can't MAKE the tents). Not sure about the accuracy of that, though. This is mostly conjecture.
- Increased buff duration
- Increased buff amount
- Ability to self-buff action stats for a brief time
- Freeze-Frame
- Slow-Motion
- Blur
Most of the ideas I've seen here (vogue, fast dancing, slow dancing, go from one flourish right into another) are pretty much things any dancer can do, even outside the SWG universe. Now if we're talking about being able to use the force to mind control someone into actually tipping us, that I could believe.
2. We where asked to come up with force skills for our class or we get nothing at all.
So you're OK with having to spend more skill points now to be the best possible dancer? You can no longer master a second profession, because true dancer mastery now takes Master Dancer AND Fabulous Force Feet IV?
