I come onto the forums today and see I have a new PM! "Yay!" I think, since I don't usually get any. And what is this message?
It's someone asking me for my buff bot macro. "The hell!?" I gasp! When did I ever come across as a buff bot? Hmph!
So, I made anice reply stating that I am NOT a buff bot, that my lovely Master Dancer, Festila, is my main character .. and that I never buff (nor entertain!) afk.
Just thought I'd share.

I've had a couple people ask me if I'd come across any great buffbot macros. I think I lost it on one of them, because I managed to end up on their ignore list after a few minutes

Hey at least you don't get ingame spam trying to get you to sigh up to a vendor listing website for $10 a month!
That has to be a new low.
*Edit*
Or was that $10 a year, I forget now.

The first person to ask me for a buffbot macro is going to get the business end of my curling iron.

I absolutely love the so-called "buff bots"
I am a TKM and Master Commando. I need my buffs quick and efficient without all the hassle. Even doctorsuse buffmacros. I really think all the entertainers that haven't figured out how to make macros are the ones complaining about the AFK ones.
Yes, it is the AFK master musician/entertainers who have the most uniform and easy macros to follow along to. I come and go day after day to the same entertainer for my buffs. Very simple and easy. She has tons of customers too. She does answer emails from time to time concerning certain matters that may come up. That is all the interaction the other professions need with the entertainers. We just want to get in and out.
I suggest that the entertainer professions stop complaining about everyone else and start understanding the needs of their customers. AFK dancers/musicians are very successful.

Methinks there is a town called Stepford just made for guys like you, hun. Enjoy the mindless, shuffling robots that you deal with. I am quite certain they are all the woman you can handle.

Midge, dear, I am really beginning to like you!
(Not that I didn't before
) Quite well said in your post. We are not Stepford Dancers! To paraphrase my dear sister from another post. One mainreason its so hard to find a dancer or musician is because of the proliferation of these "Stepford Dancers" they have driven a majority of the players away from the profs, making us rarer than Jedi's in many cases. If these "creatures" are gotten rid of I think you will find players will return to them. (As for anyone askingLei for a buff-bot macro, she will have to go TK on their sorry, inconsiderate backsides
)
Its scary, stepping back and readingthe post, Lei is becoming more militant by the day.

It was the Stepford Dancers that caused me to cancel my subscription months ago. I found myself frequently the only live dancer/musician in a full group. This was at the height of the holocron addiction, of course, and buffs were too new to have made any impression yet. Now I find the holocron thing gone, but these buffbots are the latest craze. Sigh. If it isn't one darned thing, it's another. But thankfully there also seems to be an upsurge in real, live dancers and musicians, and I am having fun with the game again.
As to the prostitutes...er, buffbots and those who 'use' them...just be careful folks they might give you a nasty disease along with that buff!
Midge, who has always been militant (but stylish)

I suggest you realize that there are other players on this game, and we have the right to play our profession the way we want to - and have that playstyle protected against extinction.
Look . . . we are players, just like you. If you felt your chosen profession was being taken over by player-NPCs you wouldn't be happy about it either. Heck, there are NPC Jedi even - why do we need live ones, then? Because people want to play them. Well, we want to play entertainers and we should be allowed to do so without the threat of being phased out by "convenience".

Buff bots are teh Devil!
And I mean that.
So many of my entertainer friends(I'm a commando by the way..since I first held a flamethrower) have stopped dancing or playing their instruments because of buff bots. It's really sad, as I see my chance of getting buffs decrease every day, as more and more friends take up other skills. And I refuse to be buffed by some zombie yelling about tips.
So for you dancers out there, who loves your proffession.
Some of us non entertainers, love ya'll. (as long as you're not zombie)
Don't help anyone become a zombie.
