Since we won't be able to use weapons other than CDEFs and survival knives to keep us up any more. So much for storm trooper poplock, and I was really looking forward to being able to have 3 flavors of storm troopers dancing.

Well, this reallywill rule out armor as a costume if you don't also have the appropriate combat level to wear it . . . . /sigh

I seriously hope they change that. Because all this means is probably like your sig. No more NS Bicep, NSEL and Etc To wear to be part of your costumes

Personally, I think if they're going to restrict armor to certain professions, they should do the same with clothing.

Hotpants, fleshwraps, leotards, the bustiers, formal wear, etc should all come with certifications on the entertainer tree and nobody else should be able to wear them. Let's see how the combat monkeys like that.

What you say? That doesn't make sense that someone shouldn't be able to put on clothing unless they have a certain skill? I agree. Makes about as much sense as telling me I can't wear armor because I'm not a commando. I accept I shouldn't know how to use a big old sword in combat, but heck, I should be able to hold one.

/cry nonono...

My RIS, my BH suit, my bicep, the lance my guild is trying to get for me? /cry

And okay, non-combats are going to be really really really really hurting if they can't have ANY protection and have 1k HAM max.

so much for a game that offered non-combat as a playstyle.

I would hope the people chosen to alpha test these changes are making the case for why we would NEED these articles as costume. Unfortunately though until they let us see what these changes are and look at them in something other than halfassed text form, we realy can't complain from any position of knowledge.

This really chaps my hide. I use a Rykk blade during one of our band's routines (the Ballad of Ossklo) as part of my costume when the hero of the song starts the final battle. What am I supposed to do now... equip a survival knife? Oh THAT looks really dramatic.

I don't mind if lack of a cert for the weapon means I have 0% chance to hit and do 0 damage... I just want it for the APPEARANCE.

Yet again the Devs demonstrate that they do not understand dancers at all. Look is everything for a dancer, and costumes are extremely important. Not that they have the first clue about that.

Oh and I believethere are still a few drama troupes around who put on plays. What happens with them when actors who are portraying STs can't wear the armor or carry the BFGs? (And, yes - I do know what that termmeans. )

Well, here we go then -- Lets request that we get "mock armor" and "mock weapons" that have the same look but with no stats.

That would mean we'd only lose looted only items, like BH armor...Since NS biceps dont' give stats already Iw ould hope they're not planning on giving them a cert.

For stuff like RIS I'd request that crafting mock RIS be only available to RIS certified AS so the look stays rare...

...and I just spent a great deal of effort on getting some of those Rantok swords (from the Jabba themepark) just to use while dancing.
