Hi there everyone!

I don't want to waste any time so I need all your help here. As I posted before, this is really a team effort here. I'm really just the person they picked for the short time being to gather the information and send it, but its up to all of us to tell them what we need.

So, if you would all please list the 5 things you all would most like to see happen with our profession I would greatly appreciate it. Please think hard about it, list no more then 5 things and try to be specific. I'll be looking over all the responses to find the most common and reasonable things to get fixed and put together a response for the Devs and post it so you all can see.

Thanks!

1 The healing skills seem like a complete waste of points (Fatigue healing and Wound healing). If they actually do something, it is beyond me. Would love to have those two skill trees actually be something we want

2 With the changes to bandflourishes, there is no incentive no to coordinate any dances ... actually a disincentive of anything. It was nice back in beta to have a coordinated chorus line all doing the same moves

3 Speaking of moves, need I same much about flourishes 5-8 for most of our dances

4 I wish the higher level dances didn't suck so much action. I really like the lyrical and exotic line but when I have to stop every couple of minutes to rest, frustrates me

5 I wish there was a way to trade while in a macro. We all macro so lets not get in an argument. But when someone has some clothes for sale or such but I cant trade due to the macro, it gets frustrating.

Just some ideas to prime the pump

1. More flourishes for the exotic dancers (4-8 are identical).

2. Fix stutter-stepping on formal and lyrical

3. Allow dances to stay in step better when bandflourishing lyrical and formal

4. Longer smoke bomb

5. Remove super-sized pets from cantina.

1) Lack of priveleges for top end dancers. Top end dancers should get higher paying gigs or some social benefits for their work. Relying on meager tips while artisans make credits hand over fist seems silly. There should be some perks NPC-wise or monetary wise for achieving the highest dancing skills.

2) Broken flourishes on 4-8. These need fleshed out to look like they are actual dance movements that match the dance you are doing.

3) Lack of benefits for being a dancer.

4) No way to deny your services to rude or abusive patrons other than stopping what you are doing altogether.

5) The fact that the better dancer I am, the quicker the patron is out the door. The healing lines offer nothing of benefit at all to the dancer, and actually hinder the chance of getting tips.

This probably changes every time I play, but here goes:

1. Have dance experience determined by skill level rather than dance so that pre-master dances are not locked into doing a dance that that they do not like or that does not entertain. Anyone who suffered through a level of footloose will get this one.

2. Fix the broken base animations on formal and lyrical. And putting some more interesting movement into the base animations for footloose and poplock would not hurt. If you dance for tips, how you look matters, and these dances make us look like we are zombies or have nervous disorders.

3. Flesh out eight unique flourishes for every dance.

4.

Oops accidental post:

4. Significantly decrease action point usage for dancing with the cost going down as the skill level goes up. You just cannot dance long enough. Once you master you may have to migrate stats for a second career so that you end up with even shorter dance endurance. Alternatively, grant a skill that buffs action point, recovery rate and reduces the rate at which action points are used.

5. Grant some kind of abilitie to master dancers to make their presence in an adventuring group more desireable. I would think some combination of damage avoidance ability and reduced-rate groupbattle fatigue removal in camps are possibilities.

1) The title of Captivator is currently spelled Captivater.

2) Poplock and poplock2 use the formal dance fall.

3) We need more imersive Star Wars looking dances and less poplock/footloose looking dances.

4) The ability to consent on healing. Dancers and musicians need a fair way to charge for their services besides hiding in their houses.

5) Light shows are too short. All of them. Since they give NO experience they should at least last longer than the instant flash they do now.

1. General cleanup of dancing animations. Incorrect falling dances (falling formally while Poplocking), the stuttering dances, and the limited flourish 5-8 selections. I know making new animations may be far more than trivial, but cleaning up the glaring boo-boos would be a good start.

2.The ability to heal BF outside a building at Master Dancer. It doesn't have to be the rate a Master can do it inside, but aheal in camps would be a nice perk.

All I can think of for now - my other problems are Entertainer-related.

Just one comment on the issue of controlling access to the healing affect of dance. I really think that to cut someone off from the healing and fatigue relieving effects of dance, you should have to ignore them entirely. That letsdancer avoid the uncomfortable situation of have disruptive players still benefit from hanging around. I do not think thatgiving dancers control over who benefits is a good idea. A lot of player alreadyhave a resentful attitude toward entertainers because they HAVE to visit them (well maybe not if they can meditate. This problem will only get worse if dancers are by default shutting people off unless they agree to pay. I would sooner see the problems about dancer income solved some other way.

1. Additional unique flourish's for upper teir dances we should have 8 per dance or per dance style

2. Fix the poplock fall doing a formal flourish in the middle of a poplock sequence makes absolutely no sense

3. Unique dance for Master Dancer upgrades of 2 types of dances isn't new

4. Less jerky basic dance steps on formal and lyrical I should be able to stop flourishing for a few seconds and not appear to be performing at my first dance recital

5.Since we must constanly flourish in order to appear professional either reduce the action cost of upper level flourishes or let the level of out ent healing abilities reflect our action costs.

1. Flourishes for higher level all being the same. It's such a shame to be doing poplock2 and have the formal fall.

2. Deny healing for customers. I can't think of any other way to deal with rude customers.

3. Lightshows/effects should boost XP, like flourishes. We are forced to take this, if we want master dancer with very little benefit to us if you are not interested in using them.

4. XP should be based on dancer level not actual dance. Every dancer always uses their best dance instead of something that fits the music.

5. Some sort of status or popularity for dancers so we can get missions based on either skill or popularity. Novice Dancers shouldn't get the same missions as dancers who are just starting out.

there's my 2 credits in no particular order.

1) As most everyone that has contributed to this thread so far has said -- more flourishes that are unique to each dance.

2) More perks for specializing in dance (this would apply to music as well). A lot of people will buy novice entertainment just so that they can heal themselves. It takes longer, sure, but most don't find this too much of an inconvenience. And it doesn't necessarily bother me, but I think it'd be nice to get some kind of extra bonus when one hits Master Dancer, or heck, even Novice Dancer. Someone, and I can't recall their name, suggested an 'adrenaline boost' of some sort that would last for a specific amount of time depending on the dancer's skill level. It would either slow down BF buildup, or just get rid of it entirely for the duration of the boost.

3) Decrease the chance of failing a flourish. Maybe I'm just the unluckiest dancer on Radiant, but there are times that I will fall 3 times in a row. And I'm -> <- that close to Master.

4) The ability to focus your performance on someone. Perhaps that could go hand-in-hand with the 'adrenaline boost.' Blocking someone entirely from being able to heal by watching you seems too negative. I would rather be able to focus on someone and heal them faster. This would be a great way to show your big tippers and supporters that you really appreciate them.

5) Increase the duration of the light shows. It'd be great if they could at least last the length of a flourish. People love these things, and I love doing them!

1) add a full 8 unique flourishes for the top two tiers for dances. meaning exotic 1 will have different flourishes than exotic 2. And same for 3 & 4.

2) fix the fall animation for popular and poplock so that it's not the formal fall. "I wonder if I'll fall...yup I will"

3) give us unique dances to strive for in Master. Musicians get that big thing (sorry don't know what it's called) that is only avilable at master. We simply get extentions of exotic, though I'm hoping we get unique flourishes for 3 & 4.

4) We should be able to get experience for the tier we've learned up to not the dance. My musicians are playing rock but I'm dancing exotic so that I can get my max exp. Just doesn't look that grand.

5) Can't think of one and I'm not going to put just anything to fill in a 5th *grin*

I hope something good comes of all this. Good Luck with your job.

Hi Liiza love *smooch*
