Thread: What is everyone wearing?
But instead Ill just say to find ourself a Tailor and stick to them. They will probably have other entertainer clients and may be able to tell you what the current style is. If they are the only one then they might even be the person resonsible for the current trend.
What I wear depends on what I am doing. My wardrobe consists of a range of trousers and dress blouses, a range of skirts, range of sleeveless dresses, frocks, robes, cloaked dress and also a range ofintricate dresses. For dancing formal I like to wear a long flowing dress... for poplock some fitted trousers and a pretty blouse, for playing rock I switch to some shorts, top and jacket... all depends
I tend to put on a nice sleeveless dress for my folk numbers as they are quite elegant.
If you are interested you can see my wardrobe from beta here:www.beethoven.demon.co.uk/swg/modelling/index.html
They have changed the names of some of them, will put up a new catalogue of Ilureah on Eclipse's wares soon.
Well, as a tailor as well as a dancer, I make my own costumes (still just Novice Tailor as of 7/15).
I usually do either a Rugged or Short Sleeve Jacket in white, dark grey Shorts, and Wrapped or Hide boots, either white or dark grey as well.
And, if I'm working with other girls in the cantina, I'll whip up matching costumes for them, and sometimes for the band, too!
Look me up if you're on Starsider!

I now wear a fitted body wrap with a bone crest, or a corset top and a pleated skirt with my lekku wrap, or an elegant dress, or my sleeveless cream dress, or my bluejeans with a black top black boots and my pink "pimp jacket". Oh I also have a nice wooly jacket that' I'll wear with my black wrinkled pants sometimes.
I love clothes. And I just spent all my money last nite buying new outfits (the body wrap for one). I can't wait to show them all off tonite.
I think any outfit can look good. Before I saved up my money for my new clothes I wore wrinkled pants a short sleeve shirt and boots and I looked **edit** good. Just have fun with what you wear.
As Tyrena's local clotheshorse I like to change my outfits constantly. Among my favorites are:
-My new patterned slipdress
-Black shorts, boots and Short sleeve jacket
-Black pleated skirt with wine colored top
-black wrinkled pants with assorted tops
-wooly jacket with matching pants
-pink or black sleeveless dress
I'm dying to get the Luxurious gown, as well as some of the more revealing styles...

ps. I'm so jealous about your bonecrest and fitted flesh wrap...Brat! *giggle*
This is a great thread, but I'm wondering if there are any other male dancers out there with any suggestions? I'm a relative newbie so my wardrobe and funds are rather limited. Plus, it seems as if most people are specializing in women's clothes. But, as a male dancer, I need outfits too. For awhile there I was just dancing in my standard white muscle shirt and pants with the yellow stripe. Sometimes I'd take off the shirt, but never the pants. Then I was getting bored with that and found a nice Twi'lek in Theed who made some clothes for me. Now I have wrinkled pants and undershirts in black, dark lavender, and dark burgundy and mix and match depending on my mood. Of course, I'm only up to footloose (Dancing III) at the moment, but I'm going to be needing new clothes for formal, plus I'll be needing some brighter colored clothes for when the mood strikes me and I start getting all the bright flashy lights options.
Anybody have any suggestions on where I can find these types of outfits, or what types look especially good on males? And, is it bad that all I ever spend my credits on are shuttles and clothes?
Liiza dear you weren't suposed to read that. *tickle*
And don't buy any thing until you see me tonite. Unless of course it's a great deal. *grin* Or you are buying me another lekku wrap *grin*
For male dancers if you are really secure in yourself there are afew in our cantina that dance in a jacket and shorts. I alsothink guys would look good in the side button shirt.
Sorry I really don't have a whole lot of ideas simply because I don't buy formal/high end clothes for guys.
I think this is the third thread I've posted this info to (sorry!), but Drygo since you asked what other male dancers are wearing, here is my performing wardrobe...
1. White undershirt or formal shirt, black wrinkled pants, dress shoes
2. Black infiltration suit, long black gloves, black boots (a leotard look... you must be confident in yourself to wear this)
3. Black casual vest and black lined shorts (put this on and ask your woman if she would like a pina colada)
I'm happy with what I have so far, but also kind of desperate to find out if I have any other options or if I've exhausted the performing clothes possibilities for men. /sigh
Well it looks like i may have an outfit to add to my repetoire this evening!
One lekku wrap coming up...if i can find one. *grin*

My dancing clothes generally consist of a pair of brown slacks (striped or not depending on mood) and a yellow casual shirt or a lined workshirt, which is a sort of short-sleeved tee-shirt looking affair. If I'm feeling goofy, I'll put on my tusken raider outfit and pretend that all those feminine shimmies and back arches are really primitive ritual moves. ![]()
Really, I just generally keep an assortment of clothes in my backpack and just throw something on when I walk in. I've been known to occasionally go for the open vest and the short-shorts, but not for very long. It's cute to dress like the girls for a gag but it's not really me. For musical performances, I'll wear something colorful. I've gotten lots of compliments on my "Seargent Pepper" outfit, which consists of bright red slacks, a violet-and-pink labor jacket, yellow sash and my tusken boots.
