I have a post in the SWG General section (since the devs seem to read that one) requesting a "Deny Services" function for entertainers to use on rude/abusive players. It can be found at:

http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=Development&message.id=30090

Please help bring this to the dev's attention.

This is absolutely the best idea to deal with rude people. And it's very realistic. Isn't one of the hallmarks of a live performer that they're able to deal with hecklers?

It's not fair to stop everyone dancing and deny our good customers a show just because some jerk can't keep his mouth shut or his hands off the dancers.

Let us /snub him.

Maybe we need a bouncer profession?

I like the idea too but by some dancers could be used for the wrong reason. Course if it is a smart patron would try to take their business elsewhere. There definately needs to be some way to deal with rude people and this might be best way. A Bouncer profession would be great tho. Right now the best bouncer i've found is a Fat Wookie, or a Mon Calamari Guy thats either gay or very secure about their sexuality.(probably going to filter that, stupid thing, just said S#xuality)Hehe. I know a wookiee named Tatharo thats pretty good at scaring away guys that are being rude to the ladies or just general morons in the cantina. He just starts batting those eyelashes at them and blowing kisses, a few kisses on the cheek and a little snuggle and most of them are screaming F#g, but they're also busy running out the door to get away.

I understand your intentions, but it is just an extremely unrealistic idea IMO. As an entertainer in RL you wouldn't be able to select who can see your show and who can't - you are either performing or you aren't, this is especially true in a public place such as a cantina.

Those of you that keep suggesting this need to remember that there will be private clubs someday, and the owners will be able to /kick and /ban customers who misbehave. Those players will be forced to go back to the public cantinas where the presumably lower level entertainers will be performing. If someone wants to roleplay a rude obnoxious person though, they would be kicked out of every cantina in SWG and that would not be fair to them.

But isn't that real life though? People who are disruptive at the clubs I go to are immediately kicked out by bouncers. Even in the most public performance areas, you have cops that assist in 'restraining' any offenders.

I agree that there needs to be some way to deny service if we can't kick them out.

Yea call it the Bouncer command. We can't physically throw them out but cutting them off would have the same effect.

No doubt however there would be some dancer who would see an opportunity in it and go over to the side and handle all the guys that noone else will deal with just for the healing Exp.

Even with that downside its STILL an excellant idea!

I didn't know there'd eventually be private clubs. That sort of changes the needed rules, dosn't it.

The difference is people don't have to go to dance clubs to rest in RL.

Don't feed the trolls and they dry up pretty quick. The trouble is, some people have to make a stink out of everything, and it becomes a who-can-get-the-last-word-in match half the time.

A "bounce" command would be awesome. Not to kick people out of the cantina, but just to keep them from gaining BF off of you. Ignore works fine other than that for hecklers.

One person can ruin the entertainment experience for everyone. I saw a situation tonight when one player can make the single performer walk off the stage, denying about 20 people a good performance. This person was so rude.....it didn't take much coaching from the others in the room to get the performer back up there, but a /snub function would have resolved this situation. It is not fair to have someone like this benefit from your performer AND disturb 20 people. I expect my dancer will have to deal with this at one point, but I hope this function will be implemented by then .

One way they could do this...if you use the ignore command on someone they could no longer listen or watch you. This way, if you ignore someone who is rude or abusive, they would not be able to use your services. Their healing rate would slow slightly because of the subtraction of one entertainer from the band healing him.

If an entertainer was abusing this feature, the person would only have to watch another entertainer. But if the person was vocally rude and obnoxious, the entire band could ignore the person and they would no longer get any healing at all. This way, more than one person would haveto make the decision that the person was rude in order to completely deny him healing.
