I've reiterated all the below numerous times but I'm gearing up for another of my "big posts" to the devs. I'd like for you all to look over this list and contribute any additions you may think of. These are in no specific order (although the first two are the issues I stress with them most frequently). Please keep in mind that bugs will be presented separately (I posted more in my ongoing saga of the "too far away" bug just yesterday) so let's stick with Issues for this list. Thanks!

The lack of marketable, profession interdependent skills needs to be addressed as soon as possible.

Unattended play is still as rampant as ever and contributes to a poor game experience for those players who play the Dancer profession as well as those who visit the cantinas.

Dancers would like mission payout increased with missions redesigned to provide scalability with level & higher gameplay value. We would like for the full mission payout to be distributed to each entertainer in the group as it is with combat groups, rather than the payout split between group members.

Dancers would like experience point gain to be based on the player's skill level rather than on the dance performed. This would encourage forming of performance groups between dancers of varying skill level.

Dancers would likea static/deny list.

Dancers would like to have the ability to determine which players are /watching them and/or which players have accepted the cover charge.

Group size limitations detrimentally effect our performances. We would like to either have the ability to perform in larger groups or a means of combining 8 player groups into a meta-group to facilitate our group performances when using related skills such as /bandflourish. We would like to have additional group performance skills such as the abilities to start, stop and change the dance of all dancers in the group or meta-group.

Dancers would like to be able to call a dance's flourishes from different dances and/or gain the ability to call parts of flourishes, independently of the whole.

Spam created by unattended avatars and NPC storm troopers leave the NPC cantinas an undesirable environment for the social playstyle.

Dancers would like to be able to obtain loot from non-combat sources. We would like for any entertainer related rewards and loot to be either gender and species neutral or available in a form for each species and not specific to gender.

Dancers would like compensation for the skill enhancing items, for which some paid millions of credits, which now have no use.

We suffer from a huge skillpoint to functionality disparity. Many dancers have indicated they would like dialog with the developers about the possibility of reducing the skill point investment for entertainer professions.

After the change to client/server syncing of avatar location in the world that was necessary to correct the appearance of the (moving) base dances, we are unable to use the numpad keys 1 and 3 to change our direction (it appears to us that we have changed directions but not to the viewer). As a result, we are unable to control drift or change the direction we are facing.

Even though armor boots and gloves offer no protective values, dancers are unable to equip the armor they have used to draw attention to their hands and feet while dancing prior to CU.

Player theater issues - the "outside vs. inside" problem that disallows Inspiration buffing and items to be placed on stages. We would also like for the stage area of Player Theaters to be fixed so our effects droids can be used on them.

Dancers would like breakdance flourishes for the breakdance dance.

Dancers would like to have entertainer related content such as the once-proposed Hutt Casino. We would like to see a more complex quest system for entertainers, an expansion on the template of the new entertainer quest in Mos Eisley would be a great start.

More performance oriented abilites.
-----------------------------------

Specific bandflo flourishes not found in normal dances.

Specific bandeffects (like smokebomb, centerstage etc).

Add bandflo icons like there is for normal flourishes.

Enable /banddance command for syncing bands changing dances.

Is there any way of forcing band members into formations? If they have enabled band abilities maybe commands similar to droid/pet formations to keep performances looking sharp.

The lack of marketable, profession interdependent skills needs to be addressed as soon as possible. Yes, the biggest issue in my opinion. Plus there should be something of appeal to combatants in order to bring cantinas back into a social and community 'hub' as they used to (and should) be.

Unattended play is still as rampant as ever and contributes to a poor game experience for those players who play the Dancer profession as well as those who visit the cantinas. Almost as big an issue and has to be addressed before the entire community of ATK dancers and musicians simply give up. For every bot account that would quit I can almost guarantee an (or several)ATK player(s) would arise.

We suffer from a huge skillpoint to functionality disparity. Many dancers have indicated they would like dialog with the developers about the possibility of reducing the skill point investment for entertainer professions. I for one would not like to see this at all. Adress the first two issues adequately and then this wouldn't be desirable or necessary. Taking our sp down or to zero will totally destroy any semblance of an entertainer community that we still have. May as well eliminate the professions and give all the abilities to everyone, something I would never want to see happen. What concerns me most about thisis that I know many ATK full time performers who rarely or never read these forums, and I have heard none of them call for a skill point reduction.

...............

These would be the top three main issues. All the issues that you listed are valid things to be discussed, and any of these additions like mission payouts or new quests would always be welcome. It has really concerned me in the last few days that wehad all viable 'purpose' besides social removed, (and the social is quite thin when no one has a 'reason' to watch a performance or even set foot in the cantinas) without introducing a new market of any sort for us.

Thanks Esharra for working hard for us and taking the time to get these concerns before the Devs

i started Dancer again (3rd time) and have been enjoying it tho getting again annoyed about afk entertainers, i was thinking of solution for unattented entertaining and got solution for the problem (sort of) how about when someone watches entertainer they get popup windown where they can either choose just to watch or get inspiration buff, then if they want buff entertainer gets popup window stating that this person wants a buff and she/he needs to confirm this. popup window should be made so that you cant macro it to autoconfirm all coming requests. I know that many of you dont want more distraction to break your performance but this would prevent AFK people from giving buffs and players would actually start seeking live performers to gain buff.

Not much to add to what you already have:

Being able to stop dancing *immediately* when you want to, like a musician can. Instead, we have to wait until the flos are completely done.

Rather than ask for our skill point cost to be reduced or removed could we try the please add combat level to dancer approach first?

I'm not suggesting dancer or any other entertainer profession become a bard, rather I suggest giving our defensive a bump up in ability and raise our combat level to 54 at master. The preCU dancer had +7 to ranged and melee defense. Lets give that defense a bump up to +70 ranged and melee defense. Dancer and musician would give no offense bonus which would keep people from choosing dancer/musician in order to have the "uber" template but those dancers and musicians who also had a combat profession would also not suffer a huge detrimental effect for having their dance/music abilities. Also those master dancers/entertainers who have NO desire to participate in combat would be able to safely go into player cities without fearing that level 10 NPCs will triple incap and kill them anymore.

A master dancer/musician would be CL 80 and have 140/140 defense BUT they would have NO weapon accuracy or speed therefore not be viable PvE combatants, BUT they would also not be vulnrible to instant death if they were invited out into the wilds to entertain in a camp or something.

Locked Formations - Similar to CH Pet formations, locked position in relation to other group members for: chorus line, V, solo with chorus line back up, pas de deux with chorus line, split chorus line, column

Stage marks - Similar to CH patrol points, pre-set travel points for traveling while in the state of dance

Dance "Toolbox" - Very short anims: turns, leaps, jumps, pivots, single steps for right, left, forward, and back to be strung together to create a totally unique new dance or used to enhance current styles/flos

Interactive only stage area in all cantinas/theaters - A clear floor area that you must sign up to gain access to, should be prime viewing location, sign up NPC should be in another area of the cantina so that players must be at the keys to go sign in again, signed in period should be about 20 minutes

Stage competitions - Battle of the bands type of competitions, similar to jedi challenges at enclaves, set times when it is an option to be invoked - Compete for cash, prizes, titles, and Fame rank

(On a side note these are the two most important issues for me personally.)

1) Unattended characters ruin the atmosphere of the social player's game area mainly through use of repeating text in macros.
2) Removal of the post combat support role has crippled the entertainer profession for a large part of the entertainer community. Is it possible to return some of that functionallity to us?
