- Also, at novice dancer or higher, dancers can dual wield props.
(pretty graphics omitted)
- Image Designers will no longer see other players avatars in the user interface as swimming
like Esh says (and Esh, I am convinced, is very very smart!), do we want to have to test and debug all this at the same time and then have to spend the next year asking for even the smallest but annoying bugs to be fixed, when we could test one part, give a thumbs up and then take on a little more?
I finally feel lke the dev team is committed to fixing us. it will just take time. we've waited this long, lets not spoil it now...
I mean I consider the flourishes 4-8 broken since they do flourish 3 from Rhythmic instead of the Exotic flourish they should do, but somehow I fear they did not mean that.
How will the props be distributed? A few in the EH branch, others in the BF-healing? All in EH, and as elite you can just duel wield them?
Are they schematics+certifications, or somehow "instant creation effects", something we can summon from nowhere so it doesn't take up inventory - as dancer I have far to less of that already?
I need to level a Dancer on TC, just to test stuff like that myself next time

Well, if I didn't say it, I wouldn't be me. Sorry. I've been biting my tongue on this for too long, and was hoping that:
1) More would be added to the patch notes that we saw earlier regarding Entertainers
or
2) A Dev would have the respect enough for us to come in here and explain what's going on, once these notes hit.
Since neither occurred, I have the following to say:
I expect information on what compensates us for the loss of Battle Fatigue, because I don't see anything close to compensation for losing such a crucial skill to Entertainers, not mention a large draw for cantinas.
I see:
A new song
A new dance
Some particle effects (which likely do nothing, as their predecessors didn't)
Some Dancer props, but absolutely nothing for Musicians
Get a Dev in here now, or as soon as humanly possible,to explain why we're getting this gutted from us, without anything adequately compensating us.
I want information, I want confirmation, that the Dev team will ensure that we WILL have patrons coming to our cantinas looking for us to entertain them (even if whatever plan they have devised fails and we're staring at empty cantinas once all is said and done), that we WILL have something to do in this game aside from looking good or sounding good to just ourselves and the Entertainers in the area, and I want to know just what exactly compensates Musicians for the removal of BF. I mean, Dancers get props as something new, in addition to a new dance and some particle effects.
Musicians get a new song and particle effects. NOT worthy of the removal of Battle Fatigue.
I'm not looking for a reassertion of "profession-specific buffs." I'm looking for a commitment from the Dev team to make sure that Entertainers have an audience to entertain in SWG. This goes above and beyond their current plans - should they not work out, I refuse to have an empty cantina that nobody visits because there's very little reason to.
I will be satisfied withDev-approved information through our Correspondents, but a Dev "in person" is greatly preferred, as I don't think it's too far outta whack to want someone to reassure myself, and every other Entertainer who now wonders how in the heck anyone will be really compelled to visit a cantina, NPC or Player City. The "draw" used to be Battle Fatigue. So what makes people really compelled to visit a cantina? Will it be "profession-specific buffs", in which case, how are these going to not become REQUIRED to compete/play the game, hence leading to the same bitterness we got from Mind buffing and BF healing in the first place?
I don't want ALL the details, but hell - anything is better than 1 new dance, 1 new song, some sparkly effects, and Dancer props. As Anakin said, "I want more." I know that there's more coming, as I've been told as much. However, seeing these notes for what they are is NOT compensation for losing Battle Fatigue healing.
I would also like to add that if they remove BF from us, and their schedule gets shifted around due to "priorities" that we will NOT be forgotten about or left hanging without something to draw people into cantinas. I don't want some massive exploit explosion or BH vs. Jedi calamity to withhold what should be coming in the very same patch that BF was removed in.
I thank all of you Corrs for helping to reassure those of us who are concerned about the complete and total abandonment of cantinas in SWG, aside from Entertainers, who will only be entertaining themselves.
Again, I'm sorry, but it had to be said.
I'm really looking forward to new stuff, testing it out, and having fun with it. But removing the "draw" for cantinas, without replacing it with something, seems very premature on the Dev team's part.

They don't give details about future things in the patch notes. *shrug* Hopefully a Dev will come back to the Inspiration thread or else give the corrs a statement for us soon.
Didn't expectinfo on future stuffin the patch notes, I expected more stuff in the patch notes.
Fail that, the sentence I highlighted in your post would be perfectly fine. But I think, and I know I'm not alone, that we deserve to have some kind of commitment to having people drawn to visit our cantinas and be entertained. Who knows, whatever they have planned may not be enough, and something else might need to be worked on and implemented to provide us with an audience.
There will be no sadder day for me than when I'm standing in a cantina with "benefits" no one wants, while we had "our love" and the Devs have moved on.
I want the Devs to assure me, and other worried Entertainers, that Ents in SWG WILL have an audience to play for. Even if it takes more iterations than they're currently planning on.
That is all. Thanks.
Letting a profession "hang on" for a few publishes waiting for a fix or replacement content is very damaging to the profession's population and morale. Maybe we are getting something cool and dazzling in the future, but it's difficult for those of us playing the profession right now to have faith that something great is coming, without any information about the future.
