Yeah, you're probably right, Jaiver. I'd hide out if I was them, too.

Okies, everyone...
Things got very heated up here over the last day or so, and some issues have quickly escalated into Pretty Big Things - and much faster than I could ever keep up with in trying to make things right. I think that mistakes have been made on all sides. Mistakes happen... doesn't make anyone bad people.
I asked about the various actions taken on the forums, and was told that anyone getting too heated up would likely get a time out. This goesfor both sides of any arguments going on. If you think that a poster is being mean-spirited, vicious, flaming or trolling, report the post/thread.Rather than flaming back, report. Don't stoop to trolling, or contributing to a flame war... report, report, report.This isn't the first time that rashes of heated threads have been deleted, in this forum or others, and probably won't be the last if things get out of hand. That call is entirely up to the Mods in governing the boards.
Some nasty things have been said, and it got under some of our skins. Sadly, that's not too unusual of late.We've been taking a lot, and skins have gotten thin. Understandable, and reasonable. But we really have to rise above flame wars... no one can really win. This really isn't a rah-rah call... I just don't want any more dancerslosing forum accesshere over flame warswhen cooler heads can prevail.
We're all very passionate about the profession we love, and that's one of the things that makes this community so great to be a part of. Let's try to make that passion work for us, rather than become a liability. I'm asking, for the good of the Dancer community, that we try to put this behind us. I know it's hard to take. But kicking and screaming isn't going to work. It's just likely to make things worse for us, and that doesn't work in our favor as a community or as a profession. Tactical retreats are valid strategies too, as are picking our battles wisely.
To carry us through the next stage in the evolution of the entertainer professions, I'm going to need each and every one of your help, ideas, expertise and charm to contribute to where we'd like to be. We're going to need that passion directed towards providing first-hand perspectives of what the social playstyle is all about, and what we would love to do as Dancers. We have the ideas... deep down, we know what would make for great gameplay for social players. And I know we have the energy, and the passion. We show that in abundance when our feathers get ruffled. Think what we might accomplish if we could just turn that energy and passion towards building for our revamp, rather than in defense. I honestly think the opportunity is coming... let's be ready for it.
