Alright... here's the official thread for feedback on any of the stuff in Publish 13.0 from the Dancer perspective. Leave your thoughts and perceptions - the devs are looking in on these threads, and want to know what you think.

So... how do you like the new stuff?

Feedback?

Ent healing flew off the charts last night. Biggest tick I saw was 3434. That's not a typo. 3,434 points of ent healing XP in a single tick, and that wasn't from a bug either. We were regularly getting over 1k per tick (a couple of people were mind diseased). I bet everyone in our little cantina pretty much got all the healing XP they needed in a single night all the way to master.

Was this intentional? I think we needed a bump in ent healing XP certainly, given people were taking months to master, but seriously...all the healing XP you ever need in a single night of dancing?

Definitely keep an eye on this.

When Scip and I were testing on TC, we were seeing healing ticks of upwards of 1k, and that didn't seem right to us either. On the one hand, better healing XP would be great - that's always been painful to get - but yeah... this sounds like far too much to be correct.

It's been about 2 weeks since I last danced to heal people, but I'll give it a look as well. I could ask a friend of mine what she was getting but I think she's been capped on it for awhile now.

Perhaps skill levels play a role? I was dancing in Theed the other nite, and did not notice much of a change. Then again, my character on Bria is one healing box shy.

When Scip and I found this happening on TC, I was Master Dancer, and he was NoviceEntertainer only. We were comparing healing XP tick by tick from the same lone listener, and the XP for each of uswas identical. Interesting to note anyway.

I only recently returned to dancer, and I'm only 0-0-2-3 in entertainer at the moment, but last night I couldn't believe the entertainer healing xp! It wasn't quite 3k, but it was regularly hitting about 400 per tick. There were the occasional blips of 25's or so, but I can't believe how much faster the entertainer healing was going compared to dance xp! It was really nice. I should regain master in no time!

I did run into one problem. I'm not quite sure what happened, but for about 10 minutes I was not getting any entertaining healing xp. I thought it may have been that nobody was in the cantina, but I asked my group and the rest of them were getting it. I relogged and the problem corrected itself. This has happened to me in the past, so I'm guessing it's an old bug.

Yeah, I was there as well and the numbers were off the charts... formerly, especially with the unavailability of wounds to heal, an entertainer would average maybe 20 a tick or less (with downtime) or ticks in the 40-80 range with a CM.

Now, the ticks ranged from 100-3600...averaging in the 500 per tickrange if not higher. Do the math...

1 tick = 10 seconds.

6 ticks = 1 minute

360 ticks = 1 hour.

It takes 600,000 exp to reach 0404. 360x500 =180,000 exp an hour. Thus 0404 is achievable in roughly 3.5-4hours taking in time to recieve training.Seeing as how the estimate of 500 a tick isprobably low, 0404 islikely reachable in under 3 hours.

This was in a group of 6-8 with 3-4 people suffering from mind disease. I plan to get some more numbers in a Theed/Coronet group this weekend. Yet with a group of 20, the rate of EH exp inflow should only increase, even without the mind disease.

The only benefit I see to this, is that AFK's will cap before they can return for training, thus slowing them down... but with how fast the exp comes, the only reason people have to AFK now will be the "Knowledge Grind" as odd as that sounds.

As Javier said, a decrease was nice, but going from 100+ hours to 3 is way to large of a leap.

Wow hold up on your nerf the EH xp rants guys... Not every server is Bria. A lot of us have a hard time gaining xp still because there just aren't enough players on our server to see us. On Tarq for instance our populatrion is so low that it is taking people as long as two months to get all of the EH they need because USING combat medics

EH exp is definitely way overdone.

Only two people watched me last night, neither with exceptionally high wounds or BF, and I was still getting 1k+ healing ticks.

On TC with 0/0/3/3 entertainer I was getting them as well -- so much that with only 2 - 3 patrons watching the group (I think) I got 3/4 of my 4th level healing box in the time I got 1/4 of my 4th level dance box.

If there wasn't a flood of new bots before there will be now..

The only way I would not complain about this is if Publish 14 is macro changes. In that case I would just request to tweak it down to about 3/4 of the current values and it will hopefully even out between dance exp and heal exp, otherwise we're just gonna have the opposite of what we had before and ecourage people to 3rd party macro in their basement. If not and we're limping on under the AFK burden for a while yet I'd say it needs to be brought down to 1/2 or less of the current.

On Chilastra last night with 2 people watching (I didn't make note of their wounds) we were getting from 200-300 per tick. They did note, with distinct pleasure, how quickly they were healed.

I don't think this will encourage more bots. It's not like the bot ownerswere investing any time & effort as it was. At most, this will effect the bots by getting them out of the NPC cantinas that much more quickly.I do think that it will have a positive effect on players who would choose to play live. I've spoken with so many who felt like they "needed" to play unattended because the heal xp took so long in coming. Maybe they won't feel that "need" anymore.

I also don't think this will effect the number of people creating bots. If the bot is going to be afk anyway, I don't think it matters to the owner if it really takes a week or a month to master entertainer professions. If anything I think this will change the amount ofspamfrom the bots, since buff timer has been cut in half.

Yeah, that's why I'm ok with an insanely high rate of EH XP gain like this. If people max out their EH lines firstinstead of their Dance Knowledge lines, I think that's a better thing. You have some personal control over Dance Knowledge leveling and the rate that you can get it is already enough of a gate I think.
