Why would an entertainer buy the expansion anyway?

It's an Adventurer Quest EP. *shrug*I was shocked that they even included the one Cantina because it goes against the whole "Social Hub/Drive people to the NPC cities" plan that they stuck with for Space and the FS Village.

Good news is now that they are doing new zones as EPs, maybe they'll do an Ent/Underworld one eventually and we may see our Casino that way. I'd expect that Adventurer/Quest-based EPs will be the bulk of what's planned, but perhaps every other EP will be something else (like a PvP Hoth EP, the Casino planet for Ents/Smugglers mainly, another for Crafters, so on).

You don't need to justify buying the expansion! It is a game, have fun!

What do you get with the expansion?

That lizard thing to ride, and you get 3 EXTRA ship slots on your datapad.

So, the expansion is great for the following reasons:

If you love combat there are new areas to go play.

If you like fighting in space there is a new space area to play in. There is also mining in space butyouapparently have to be an Ace pilot in order to do that?

If you want a unique mount to ride you get that in the expansion.

However, if your game play is pure non-combat then the expansion is expressly NOT the game expansion for you because the expansion has nothing in it for the non-combat player (even the loot schematics can be crafted by people without the expansion.) If somebody knows of any non-combat content in the expansion please list it!

(Oh, and yes I did buy the expansion and for what it is, I think its just fine.)

This is a /bug.

Submit a /bug report and file a customer service ticket, to be told that it's a known problem and the Dev team will look into it, or to be told to file a /bug report to notify the Dev team.

Keep bugging it, the cantina on the first level of the great tree is supposed to function as a cantina.

But then I like to have everything. And I also have a 2nd account with a combat character.

However, to answer your question, why would any entertainer expect there to be ZERO entertainment venues that are usable on Kashyyyk when that isn't true of any other planet in the game? Naturally you would assume that they would have put at least one on the planet... and the only way to find out they didn't is to kind of buy the thing right?

Think of it this way though.

If there was a place to perform on Kashyyyk right now, do you really honestly think we would be the ones performing there?

Or would it be guild [XYZ]'s mule and every other unattended "heal me/tip me" layabout.

And on that basis, I am sort of grateful there is no apparent venue on Kashyyyk. Because I'm sure Warryyr, Moya', FFW, or any of the famous wookiee entertainers will tell you,the wookiees deserve better than that.

Well I dunno PoetD. I was in Coronet just now (afternoon time). There was one macro-bot inside the cantina, one half-AFK, half-ATK guy (he seemed sort of on-off) in the doorway, and me inside at keyboard. People in my guild are saying that even in Coronet there's often only one or two people entertaining nowadays. So, depending on the server of course, I'm not sure the'd be all that many heal me/tip me bots on Kashyyyk. As far as I can tell most of them have given up. I actually performed for the first time ever in Coronet, for about an hour, and had conversations with two or three combatants, and healed several more silent ones... One of my guild mates joined me and another dancer came and joined the group and we had some old-school fun at it. If this is happening in Coronet one might expect it would happen just about anywhere. So I am not sure that a working cantina would lead to macro-city on Kashyyyk anymore.

Surprisingly enough, when I visited the tree village yesterday, there were two real entertainers there. Both were interacting avidly with the people who bothered to stop and watch for a little bit. It was good.
