I don't think the Devs are actually asking for feedback on this right now or Eshie would have asked us for a list.... but I can't stand it any more! I'm dying to talk about what kind of cool non-combat buffs people have been thinking about! *bounces*
My favorites are:
Extended Color Palette buffs for IDs, Tailors, BEs, and ASs
Buffs for WSs for unique skins for weaps (same stats, just visual)
Run buffs for all, just because I love them
Bouncy buffs for real jumping!
Buffs for IDs that let them make people teeny tiny or huge
Dance lesson buffs so people can state dance while inspired
Disguise buffs for Smugglers/BHs/Rangers/BEs (again given to IDs from us then passed on? Don't know)
Something that helps CHs draw out unique babies to tame, not sure on the details of that one... but it sounds cool!!
Then of course all the normal stuff all the Crafting SEAs do that I'm sure will be our real bread and butter, but it's the silly stuff I'm really hoping gets included at some point.
Just as long as Javy doesn't have the Gypsymobile painted plaid!

Maybe color patterns? Like for Shipwright you get patterns to put on a ship. Maybe in some wierd way, if could be extended to put patterns on clothes?

I think you probably could get away with duplication other proffesions buffs if:
They dont stack, for game balence.
They are worse than the other proffesions buffs , no more than half the effect.
Only available in cantinas.
And have a good long duration, similar to the 3 hour inspiration buff.
So ents would give long cheep buffs, Docs / chefs etc would give much better buffs, at a price.
You are aiming here at the large pool of players who simply dont bother getting buffed, without taking the custom of the MAX it croud away from crafters.
Beyond that , Id like ;
Atravel buff , long lasting but only a low speed boost.
An avoidance buff , gives a few seconds more between the ? and the ! to let you run for it. [goes if you attack, not if you 'enter combat' but if you actually attack]
A race buff , sets you vehicles max speed higher, but lowers the terrain negotiation. This would make raceing both more skillfull and faster.
A Star Wars buff , thats makes all those excess Jedi vanish, prevents faction farming at starports kills anyone useing L337 sp334k and makes Stormies fall over in large groups when shot at by a single Reb pistol.

5) lastly, maybe a buff that would allow us to change someones color of thier armor if SOE is not planning on giving us some "Armor Customization Kits". that would help greatly as alot of people like thier armor, but not the color all the time.
DavidHarper wrote:A buff to help us Smugglers slice better would be nice, a 2% increase on all Slices, maybe make it so it only works in a Cantina so us Smugglers have to hang out with you guys? lol.
Well, you know, Obi-wan and Luke didn't look for Han outside of the Starport, did they?
The ultimate goal is to get anyone who is not doing anything particular to come and sit in the cantina and not do anything particular.
Reminds me of when I was at college and the city wanted to tear down the old water tower because it was flaking lead paint all over the place. The students had a fit, "NO, you can't get rid of the water tower! Where will we all meet!! It's great to be able to say "meet at the water tower" and everyone will be able to find it!"

*nods* A buff to dye it post production, like slicing. I was thinking about that too.
Post-production dye on tailoring items is a whole different matter, to which I believe most tailors are opposed (there are a ton of threads on this topic, just see the link directory). For armor, color is not essential to the sale (and indeed most armor is factory-produced), and I'm guessing armorsmiths would not object to post-production dye.
