People who are interested in making movies with games might also want to check out www.machinima.com.
I recently read about machinima, the making of film through the medium of game engines, in an article in the Guardian newspaper (UK) and it seems to be a growing art form both in the numbers practicing it and the creativity and quality in what's produced.
Anyway, have fun with those links.
Edit: Oops, for got to mention (although it's in the article clickified above) that Lionhead (creatores of Black and White) are making a game simply called, "The Movies" which is something you also might wanna check out.

The guys who created Red vs. Blue were at Sundance this year and even did a seminar on machnima (I got there too late to see it, unfortunately) but still, it's an artform pretty much anyone can play around with, and it was getting film industry recognition. Very cool. Maybe Pani of Javy will have a seminar next year

"Yea Saftey Dance was the first that I know of. I'm surprised someone still remembers that it was done. I noticed all the links to it don't work but since I'm in it I have a copy of it. Does anyone need this reposted?
It was done on Starsider, in the first few months of the game actually."
There was actually a video of the first player-produced in-game "party" in the first player-made city released on 7/23/03 (it was a collection of us who all played during beta). Prior to that, and, I think released during beta, was the Shared Dreams video. The party videos and others I've done are here. Though quality-wise they really suck, I'd like to think that they inspired some people to create their own videos, though I could never know for sure since nobody ever mentioned it. But I will say that the Shared Dreams video is what inspired me to do it.
