Thread: POLL: AFK Play
1. Do you leave the keyboard while your avatar is dancing? Yes sometimes to get things - drink - restroom stop - snack - that type of thing
2. What do you think is an acceptable amount of time to leave an avatar unattended while dancing? No more than 15 - 30 minutes total.
3. Would you be willing to give up any degree of unattended play beyond the 15 minutes for theAFK flag to appear above your head. Yes I think that after 30 minutes you should not only get the AFK flag but you should be logged out of the system. I wouldn't want it less than 30 minutes - it takes me about 10 minutes to log back in and I would hate to take longer to get a drink and find myself logged out. However, 30 minutes would be reasonable amount of time.

No* I strive never to do this, ocasionally there might be a pressing reason to step away for a moment without having a chance to stop dancing or playing music (life happens)

5-10 min (Preferably not at all but as I said sometimes life happens)
3. Would you be willing to give up any degree of unattended play beyond the 15 minutes for the AFK flag to appear above your head.
I would be willing to givevirtually all of it up. In those cases where life calls me unexpectedly away from the keyboard I would prefer my toon stopped playing. As far as the flag goes PLEASE make this happen and if the flag comes up have the toon stop playing/dancing.

1. Do you leave the keyboard while your avatar is dancing? When I need to leave my keyboard, I generally sit down - if I am gone for longer than 15 min I automatically get kicked back to the login screen.
2. What do you think is an acceptable amount of time to leave an avatar unattended while dancing? While I believe that no unattended time is acceptable, emergencies do happen IRL. 15 minutes would be acceptable.

As said above, i think its ok to go afk for a minute to get something to drink or to attend other minor issues.

No i wouldnt, and i enjoy the time im atk. If i get bored while entertaining, i stop entertaining and i do something else. I bought swg to play it, not to have some character online that i never actually play.

Yes, for personal needs only.

15min at most. people may be trying to justify longer because of the experience requirements, but truth is, most professions are going to take longer post CU, so if we end up taking about the same time as a combat profession, this isnt a valid excuse.

I think 15 minutes is enough time, as seems to be the consensus from this thread and the equivilent in the dancer forum
