Exactly. Some of us have very good reasons to have more fear than hope. Unfortunately there's also an NDA in effect that prevents enumerating those reasons. So ease up on those of us who aren't exactly dancing on air over this announcement.
Good things? For now, yes. But not enough for the long term. Not nearly enough.
Friggin NDA!

Yeah, cut us some slack...lol.

Afterall, distracting the enemy with a smiley wink is a valid tactic...
Actually, I'm really happy for the IDs - they are often the long forgotten cousins of the entertainer industry, so its good to see them getsome attention. I'm looking forward to recruiting a few more to our troupe - and with the removal of the timer, we can finally re-establish some of those awesome skin tone/cosmetics and costume changes with our sparkles and smokebombs. I actually have a routine (mostly poplock2, with some popular2 and basic "mixed" in) created for three people that morphsskin tones between red, white and black that is paired with with cycling red, white and black costumes in contrast - the ID timer just killed it when it was there. Definitely looking forward to getting that routine back out and dusting it off.

I'm still excited about reading the new dances. Breakdancing! And I thought that I was the only one who loved poplock!

Someone else who loves Poplock?! Woo! ^___^ <3 I adore Poplock. I was getting upset that I had to do Popular 2 for so long before getting to Poplock 2! XD

I've loved poplock ever since the new flourishes that came with JTL. I bet being able to combine poplock with the breakdance and tumbling could make a really cool routine.

Deila, what's being discussed that's not being announced? Have most of those discussions and proposals fallen through? I wouldn't have expected those small changes to have taken so long....and you certainly couldn't have discussed the 'bug fix,' unless you were helping their programmers fix it.
Ah, perceptive one.
I really wish that I could talk about things that were discussed but not announced... pesky NDA's. Suffice to say that I was working double-overtime through that period trying to get significantly more for us. And I think it's safe to say that most of those discussions/proposals have fallen through, at least for now. Hopefully though, seeds have been planted which might one day come to fruition.
We will see more changes, though exactlyhow much more is currently unknown. For now, love that we got rid of those randomfalls - something that Dancers have wanted for eons. Love that we have some new dances and songs coming in. Love that the broken base dances are being worked on (and get your dancer butts onto TC to test those
). Love what we did get, and continue to strive to find some unified voice in what entertainer players think these professions could and should be for SWG.

guys... be happy! it's new content and bug fixes... politicians would give an arm and a leg for thoseI'm as concerned about entertainers as anyone else in here, but I also know I can't expect them to fix entertainers in one patch (Rome wasn't build in a day, etc..) for one I'm glad we're getting something, since that's a WHOLE LOT better than getting nothing
being negative won't get us anywhere... it'll just make us look like whiners. your correspondents are hard at work to fight for you guys, do you want to negate their effort with your attitudes?
Well said and totally agree You guys should be shouting and cheering, not whining and moaning. Ok we still struggle to buff, but at least now we can enjoy ourselves with bug free dances, more dances, no falling etc. The Devs are doing a great job to improve the entertainer proffesions, they've done a lot for us since the launch of JTL and still are doing stuff as shown by this update. Wonderfull.

Is there any chance of us finding out what the Devs think these professions could and should be before the Entertainer Update? I'd love to know just how much the community's ideas line up with the Devs' ideas. It would give us a good base to work up from on our Update.
