Im sorry to say that after waiting for the new flourishesi could not be more let down by them.

I love playing a dancer, the grace, the style, they arebeautuful. but these new flourishes are just awful. they are the farthest thing from graceful stylish or beautiful, they look jerky cartoonish and absolutley rushed ( not even motion captured ).

Dont take this as a slam to the game, i love playing this game, but the new flourished need to go, im so glad that none of the pld ones were replaced.

Please, next time you give us flourishes make sure to at least ask someone who enjoys the concept of what it is to play a dancer before you give them to us. i can only spaek for myself but i would rather wait three times as long and get somthing finished then give me a usless upgrade right now.

I do know one thing, if they continue to add flourishes like this then its gonna hurt the game very badly.

I know alot of Dancers who just gave up the skill because it made them feel second rate. If you continue to make changes like this you will drive even more dancers away.

If you drive enough of us off you hurt a core component of the game. And that is healing Battle fatigue and mind wounds.

Pretty soon there will be so many empty cantinas that everyone will be walking around with novice entertainer just so they can heal BF because nobody is around.

It will destroy a very strong social aspect to this game. MMO's in general rely very heavily on social interaction. Otherwise we would just play X-box games. The reason we don't is we enjoy the social aspects.

If you destroy one of the core social aspects of the game by being sloppy devs, it will hurt the game in more ways then just a bunch of whiny dancers.

The new flourishes are just painful--painful to execute, painful to watch. I will never use any of them. All I can say is, thank goodness they did not give us the new Lyrical flourishes if they were just as sub-par as the rest.

So happily I go back to spamming Flo 1 and Flo 2 for Exotic 2, over and over and over.....

1) I think the new ones are goofy. I would like new flourishes but ones that looked nice. These seemed half-baked.

2) I don't like any of the new flourishes remotely

They have promise actually...just too fast. It makes me feel like a cheerleader on speed....pretty sad.

The new flourishes are a mess.

My thoughts when I first tried the new poplock flourishes, "My god, I look like a spastic monkey on speed."

"Danger! Danger! My arms are flailing around menacingly."

As a catina owner (The Rusty Dagger on tattoine the chalastra server) I must say there was a modest effort on part of the developers of the new flourishes to benefit male dancers. Most of theflourishes are feminine and erxotic moves--these dont look to masculine when performed by male dancers and there is such a shortage of male dancers --the moves are why. I do wish they had done more research and made the flourishesfor males star wars oriented and could be a veristile. But all in all it works for male dancers but the link to non star wars universe is to great.

By the way- entertainers- a while back you noticed that we put new dance flourishes in.These were to compliment the flourishes that already existed, however they were hand animated instead of motion captured like the original flourishes. This made some of you grumpy. I understand - and well, sorry about that. We will be replacing all of the hand animated flourishes with new, motion captured animations, and we're working hard on some all new ideas for dances as well. We haven't captured the motion yet, so it will be a while before it is in, but I wanted you to know it is in the works. We also plan to make some nice new outfits for you to entertain in.

With this great newsbeing said I think this discussion is pretty much closed for the time being. As such I've made this thread unsticky. I personally think this is wonderful news and am more then happy to wait til they can put together some decent work. /cheer

Ravenmist are you putting together another list of "gripes, comments, recommendations" for the end of this month?

There are a couple I would like to add and comment on but the board seems a bit disparate now.

Hehehe, they still haven't given us feedback on the first one. (sent a few emails today trying to find what the hold up is) Maybe they just forgot? Hehe.. But yes, once they do I'll be putting up another thread for you all to post your list on.
