Also, since decay was added it seems that heal exp has dropped off in general--sounds like people are going to have to put some effort into it instead of using autopilot.

Yeah, I'm seeing this too. Healing exp was already tough on most but I didn't think it was too extreme. With this recent change however I think its definately and issue and I'm going to throw it on my list. I think our healing lines needa reduction is cost or something.

I danced for 13 hours straight in a large group and gained a little over70,000 healing xp! I think that's pretty sad. If I was hunting, I would have gotten way more xp than that in 13 hours of playtime.

I do not think AFK dancing is bad and I shudder to think what the Dev's would do to curb it. I like making dance macro's that are perfectly timed with the flourishes and then singing with them.. actually performing like in the Miss Galaxy contest.

No offense but AFK dancing is not a 'real' issue, it's a symptom of other problems the class has as a whole. It's being expressed as a hatred for the afk'ers when its basically an issue with the class. Your top 5 should stay the same...I think you need to dig deeper for the 'root' causes of afk enterainers.

Here is what makes people dance afk:

Boring: not enough flourishes at higher dances, having to do high level dances for max xp gain, pretty much makes it boring, not enough variety to make people stay and dance.

Slow healing xp gain

Large grouping to gain any healing xp (which leaves smaller cantina's empty Keren comes to mind)

Not enough incentive to go do entertainer missions. If you could gain healing/dance xp from missions, the holocron seekers would be out running missions instead of afk dancing because they wanna get there fast so I think adding xp gain may help, then the 'true' dancers would get most of the cantina's back.

I also want props to use and be able to perhaps use my dancing abilities in the field.

thanks... lets think of reasons WHY there are so many afk'ers instead of just whining about it, come up with solutions and think of reasons WHY it is a problem.

Ravenmist, tell me:

What is the financial incentive for me to place half my lots on a structure I pay for with no guarantee that I'll have customers? I say make the cantina a lotless, city created structure.

i'm guessing it's a bit late for feedback on this (stupid RL keeping me from being up to date on the forums) but:

i love love love the idea of adding some non-bardlike abilities for dancers. my first profession was dancing and i'm 2 boxes away from master tailor. While i'm loving my choices so far the fact that i am totally incapable of defending myself is getting really frustrating to the point where i may need to drop some of my dancing so yes, please suggest to the devs that entertainers and crafters have some sort of combat-avoidance abilities, i loathe the idea of having to drop a mastership and hunt chubbas so i can run from point a to be without dying!

1. Falling down.

I can't belive this is number 1? I just don't fall that often and think it's a neat thing to have in the game

2. Mind-buffing self.

I don't suport this either, with it other only it encourages us to think of others first wich is after all our job

4. Fix the lyrical/formal base dance.

Please revise this list it is Lyrical, Lyrical2, Formal, Formal2, Pupular,Rythmic2,Footloose2

5. Make changes to mind buffing system to make things easier. Some way to tell when mind buff is fully applied. Perhaps a message to let you know when another dancer has already used /setperform on someone you try to buff. Make it only require /setperform and a new command /setperformdone instead of /watch and /stopwatch, so that we can make sure that it's given properly. Take guesswork out.

Im with you on this one

AFK Entertainers. (out of the top 5 because I think with Player run Cantina's this problem should lessen on its own. What you all think?)

I would like to see this at number 1. Cheating is wrong and the curent managment system on plyer owned cantinas does nothing to help us eliminate this in our own cantinas. It is also completly unfair to banish ATK entertainers to private clubs because blanket cheating is alowed.

New flourishes, full 8 for every dance. (good ones only please)

Please make it clear to sony we still DO want transitional flourishes though

System message - A notice of who is /watching you and perhaps a /listwatch command.

Or if sony wants to protect the names of the guilty at least an indicator other then ehaling EXP that we are ehaling someone master dancers capped on EPX can't use EXP for this.

A "mirror" ability that allows a dancer to chose the mirror opposite of a flourish. (mirror should be a toggle)

Yeah I like this one!

Faction points for Dancing while overt and healing other overts? (small amount of faction, definitely make it slower then running missions by a lot but still something.)

I don't think it's fiar to ask for this when crafters will still have to run missions, face it faction is a combat thing and should remain so. You can be a rebel sympathetic dancer but if you want to be a rebel pick up a weapon.

Collision detection. Some items you can walk through, others you can't. Make more of them so you can't go through them so dancers don't end up standing in the middle of tables. Also possibly make it so colliding with another player makes them stop dancing?

I love this idea BUT keep in mind colision with other players triggering a stop dance has a potential for griefing.

Make the XP earned based only on the level of the dancers experience, not on the dance itself. If a high level dancer uses basic they should get the same XP as if they used exotic.

Hate this idea, The musicians get this because 1 they have to all play the same song and 2 they have to buy instraments to get this benifit. In other words we don't want to have to buy special dancing shoes to level this way like the musicians have to do with their instraments.

A few reasonable (non bard like) field abilities? Ability to distract mobs? Npcs? (short stun, confusion, draw attention/aggro?) (hey, it makes sense I think) Perhaps a resistance to B.F.?

I really really hate this idea, we can benifit people in the field by keeping the mind buff on them. Beyond that if we wish to participate in combat take up a combat profession as well as dancer you have plenty of points. This is right up there with alowing Cheffs to toss pies at Krayt dragons, its a cute idea but bad for the game.

Oh and I forgot to add - mind buffing self is VERY important to me personally, because as a Fencer my mind goes down the toilet when I sneeze =P
