I would also like to point out that in not ONE of the CU documents does the word "entertainer" appear.
Kiss my big furry **edit** Devs.
Gee, only myself and a number of other Entertainers have been asking countless questions for any scrap of information about our role in the game we pay for, once this CU goes Live.
So, quite literally and very sincerely Devs, and this is from my big Wookiee heart - thanks for nothing.
hon... you're missing somthing here...
This is a Combat Upgrade... Not an Entertainer Upgrade...
Why are you getting so upset that we're not being specific attention payed to us?
When our upgrade comes, will you be just as upset that the combat professions aren't given attention?
Please... calm down.
I am missing nothing.
Why am I so emphatic about wanting information for us in the CU?
Because we had a role in Combat before this CU. Without Combat we'd have no Entertainer Healing xp. When the CU changes Combat and the very nature of this game, we change. And unlike the gobs of info thrown at pretty much every other profession due to CU changes, we've heard next to nothing.
Because we have skills in our skill trees that will be purposeless once the CU hits.
Because we have expensive attachments and Force Sensitive skill mods that will become obsolete. By the way, the entire branch (4 boxes) of Force Sensitive Healing requires 1,225,000 Force Sensitive xp. For you non-mathematicians, that's 12,250,000 Dance or Music xp, not including Entertainer healing xp. That's a lot of xp for an Entertainer wound healing skill mod that as yet remains totally useless to us unless we hear further.
Because for some Entertainers, buffing is their means of financial survival, and any changes to this ability should be told to us, explained, and the Devs should have the time to reconsider their plans if it turns out it sucks and will leave Entertainers broke.
Because all of the above have been attempted to be addressed by both myself and other Entertainers for months now, and we've still received nothing that could be referred to as any significant information about Entertainers in the CU.
I never once demanded or insinuated that the CU should be an Entertainer Upgrade, I am simply interested in being treated with the dignity and respect afforded to other professions whose skills are changing with the CU.
I am calm. I am just being very emphatic here.
I've worked hard and tried tirelessly to get any kind of information about us, about why we're not mentioned once in the CU documents, and quite frankly when people like you misinterpret exactly what I'm working toward (i don't want an Entertainer Upgrade in the CU, I want a Combat Upgrade in the CU, which WILL impact us, and we DO need to know each every change they intend to make so that we can not only test it, but tell them it's utter cow droppings if we must before it goes Live), it just makes me more frustrated.
I have tried and tried and tried.
So, fine. TONS ventured, nothing gained. Think of this as my last push for anyone to feel motivated to attempt to be treated like other professions whose skills and skill mods are being overhauledin the CU. They've been told of changes. We know next to nothing about some very basic core functions of Entertainers.
Ignorance is now bliss to me, I will test what I find on the CU TC and nothing more. I only hope it's enough. If someone's uber bandolier gets hosed, or feels cheated by the CU because nothing can be changed once they tell us what will happen, hey at least I tried and I'm sorry.

I myself have been wondering that very same thing with all the recent oddness about the Ent Document, and NO word on the many questions we have had about the changes happening to Ents.

Also, as to why I think many threads outside of our forums aren't responded to by Entertainers is because we're very quickly told toshut the **edit** upfrequently, go away, doesn't pertain to you, blah blah blah blah, CU is only for combat (what a crock). We're treated like the scum of the game, so we hide in our little corner. What the hell else are people going to do.
I've seen time and time again how Entertainers get impassioned about something, then brutally lambasted by other players in this game.
With apologies to the late Rodney Dangerfield, "we get no respect, I tells ya - no respect."
Hey, hey! Skal Trenton for the win!
He's our first lambaster, a round of applause, everyone!
Here's what my attempt at being impassioned resulted in! My point has been gorgeously exemplified...
"Entertainers for a profession you can master completely afk witha macro written by my 8 year old cousin you sure complain a lot about not getting anything out of this. Also, you can buff and make money without using anything expendable so please go cry on the entertainer forums if you arent afk as we speak."
Just a word of caution - expect to see lots of this. This is what Entertainers get when they voice empassioned opinions outside of the Entertainer forums. Do NOT let it discourage you, it's not worth your time. Post and post often, yell all you like, whatever. It's time people learned we can't be pushed around. Which is exactly why I'm going Master Lightsaber and Master Musician, because some poor shlub will learn the meaning of the word respect from me one day with my Master Musician tag flying. Now, to just unlock the Jedi....
Edit: Actually, to clarify, it looked like the lightsaber will earn me respect. Nothing can be further from the truth. The lightsaber will be something so very unexpected coming from a Master Musician. I never find skill with a weapon in this game to earn respect. I've actually whooped people more thoroughly with a few keystrokes than could ever be done with any weapon. I guess I'm trying to say - don't get the wrong impression. I've just been picked on for too long, I want something to back me up. Rage of the Wookiee, it would seem ![]()

In case you also have missed it Panthu in this very thread states that she now thinks we are no longer getting an Ent Revamp.
But y'all got a new song'n'dance!!! Wait...those were old songs'n'dances.....

Oh, goodness.
I know, we're being pessimists.
We still love each other though!
And I will stop bad-mouthing the management styles out of respect for Ms. P. I'm sorry.

It appears to me that we are going to be reset into where we were when the game started. A flawed premise but working as intended. And if we are working as they meant for us to work then there is no need for a revamp or upgrade of any kind. Instead they can just slowly release the songs and dances that they have had done for a very long time now. And every 6 months or so put a few out as our "new" content.
Anyone remember hearing about the Entertainer Document ? Remember that it got delayed by corrs and glowie input. It's been a very long time and we have heard NOTHING reguarding it. Our Corrs have either been told nothing(which is a very bad sign) or are unable to say anything (again not a very good sign).
With the drastic changes happening to Entertainers you would think they would give us some word on this if it was still being worked on... or happening..
But if we are working as intended, and the bots go away because of that... is there really any need for them to spend more of their time working on something they have such a poor grasp and understanding of what we want or need ?
I would imagine that they will think that very exact thing.

Good point, DY.
I hope that they really don't think that if they change the core mechanics of combat so that Entertainers no longer hand out buffs that they can just toss us back in a dark corner and forget about us since our number one problem of "bots" will be taken care of.
