Ok, I have been a male dancer since I startedthe game inMarch. Yes, I get the occasional rude comment, but that simply drives me to dance even more. I like the attention and as a male dancer I get a lot of it. I get big tips from my customers (male and female), but I also created an attractive male character. This is a key, no one wantsto see someone gross looking dancing. My charcter has darkhair and lightblue eyes; itgets them everytime.Honestly, I just do not see amale Mon Calamari in hot pantsbeing in high demand. On to clothes, I only dance in shorts, hot pants, bikini leggings, and now the new winged hawtpants. I will never wear a shirt when I buff; I stay true to what a dancer should wear. I want moremale dancer's clothes, like maybe a very skimpy bikini. Amadis de-Lully, Master Dancer of Gorath

Not quite sure what to say about this. My character is, I like to think, charismatic in a rough, uncouth kind of a way but, physically, he is the answer to the question "Who ate all the pies?" I have an RP reason for him to be that way. I get attention because I'm different. Oh, and perhaps because I'll speak to just about anyone who comes in to the cantina. A shame they don't all speak back (apart from the lowlife who called me a 'homo' last night) but every now and then I engage someone in conversation which can be interesting.
I got licked a lot last night too. Must have been something in the water.

I know this is not exactly on topic, but as a female dancer I would like to thank you all male dancers for dancing.
The cantinas would be very lonely places without you.
Keep on dancing!

Thanks Deli'ah and the ladies have my thanks too for putting up with the grief alot of them do but still hanging in there.
Honestly, I think the ladies have it far worse than the men do and probably one of the reasons why is because of men that play women characters and "act" in a fashion that they think will get them the most "stuff".
Saturday night apparently there were some "women" entertainers shouting that they were offering "special services" in the back of the cantina for cash. Unfortunately, this sets the expectation that all women entertainers should be doing this for the immature males.

No kidding! /cheer for the guys! I have been such a lucky girl that in my SWG lifetime I've had 2 male dance partners. There is nothing better in this world than havinga smart, witty and sexy man to dance with.
Til..it wouldn't be the same without you! (and you got more tips than me last night

Oh, I don't know - a smart, witty and sexy man who can move you to dance is something to behold.

all they get is a pet or droid to go with em and who knows what they do together out in the wilderness... all alone...

I'd also like to thank the male dancers. The cantinas (NPC and Player) wouldn't be the same if there wasn't any males to dance with or to drool over. *grin*
Not to mention that many of the most knowledgable dancers I know on Kettemoor are males (Tiaga, Ern, Drygo just to name a few).

I dunno. I have an albino male Rodian Dancer on Ahazi and I get tips when I am working the crowd. If I am silent, I get no tips. If I talk to people, I get tips.
I dunno if having a HAWT avatar has a great deal to do with tips for male dancers.
That being said, as a Master Dancer, I like to tip fellow live Dancers (and Musicians) when I see them in the cantinas working the crowds.

It's not so much being hawt...as being friendly. I really don't change my cantina MO any from when I'm playing music. I /greet folks ask what they're hunting, if they've slain any rebels of late etc. I also pun alot, but thats just me being me.

You could always do what i do, when some insecure guy starts to make rude comments, spit at me, call me looseretc.
I usually tell them something along the lines of this.
"I don't know who is the biggest looser here, me who get to spend most of my day in the company of alot of lovely ladies. Having fun, chatting and so on. Or you, who come in here, bashing me for doing something i love, then go out in the wilds beating up a pixelated non existant NPC and feel "uber" compared to me"
That usually shuts them up quite fast
They may be doing battles with weapons and violence, but if it comes down to a battle of wits, 98% of them will loose to me hehehe
