Thread: No more 30-second buff

b. The 2 sec pauses just burnaction faster... you may see "You perform a flourish" 5 times during a 10 sec period, but you only get xp for one.
A doctors Quickness buff negates the burning of the Action pool as you grind.. Also, it is a proven fact that only one flourish gets you about 8-20 xp but the more flourishes you do, the more XP you actually get.
The start/stop exploit (yes, we know the Devs say it's an exploit now) worked because it really did trick the system. That's why we have a 15 sec delay coming downnow.
ok then easy way around this, after you hit the stop function, place ina pause of 15 seconds, but the macro will still be the same, just takes 15 secs now, son instead of 2k xp per minute, it is is cut down to 400-600 per minute? still a better avgs than the 20-50 xp per minute.
This change only affects the exploit to insta/ 30 second buff someone. Thats it people. You can still apply a full buff to someone in 2 minutes 1 second if you know what your doing. 2 dang minutes is not to much to ask for. This is a good change that fixes the exploit to a degree and balances out our buffing. We use no materials so 2 minutes is very reasonable amount of time to buff someone IMO.
I really don't see what your all getting worked up over.

Have you actually tested this on TC? I have been a guinea pig for people on TC and noone have been able to apply a full buff in the time that you are talking about. The normal buff macro that would buff in 8 minutes on live for 2 hours is now only giving 1 hour and 31 minutes. So what is your secret? I'm sure everyone would like to know.

Heheh, should know better then to doubt me.
There was more then one way to speed buff someone. One way still worksbut have to wait til the 2 minutes is up. And no, I don't give out that secret, if ya know it then great but I don't teach anyone. ![]()
As far as the rest goes, the dead time isn't suppose to add to the time you need but things are a bit buggy right now. Give them time to work it out and you'll be able to buff just like normal long as its over 2 minutes.
Um...well, if the other way to do a speedbuff is an exploit and/or secret, then I'm not sure why you think the rest of us have nothing to complain about. Knowing what we're doing is translated to "knowing another exploit."
So, it still stands to reason that for the majority of us, the "fix" does nothing more than add an extra two minutes to our buffing time. Or, am I not understanding?
If what you say is true...that it's not *supposed* to add 2 minutes to our buffing time and our buffing time will be normal, and the 2 minutes is just an addition and not a minimum, then great! I have no problems. But, no dev or official word has told us that yet. I think the vast majority of us would not be complaining if we knew for a fact that the 2 minutes is only a minimum, not an addition.
I have very good sources.
