Not one shred... Drygo ? Would you come post here for a moment.... Not only that but I know I would go into cantinas to buff more then as now I only do it if there is no bot there unless I happen to be jamming with a group. I know at least 20+ others that would pick up Musician/dancer again.

Huh? I really don't know what #3 she is referring to. So, I can't respond. lol

I'm fairly sure it was this #3

#3 Fix unattended gameplay

Doing this WILL bring more people into playing Dancer/Musician and WILL bring those who already are back into the cantinas to provide buffs. Which will make Buffs more accessible.

I agree it will, in fact event the mention of removing unatended gameplay was enough create a spike in the amount of live entertainers being seen in public cantinas, Theed on bria is a good example.

Sunrunner Server :- Currently in our lil section of the universe we have implemented an Entertainer Chat channel. This has been done on other servers too, and it does work. Our channel began as a response to the concerns regarding the recursive macro issue, and so far the Sunrunner community hasresponded positively. We have promoted it by holding events and even making special red shoes (in honor of the newbie red shoes), bustiers and HAWTPANTS!!! (Yah, my alt is a tailor ) as free gifts for those people who have supported us. To try and encourage the use of ATK entertainers and to help the sunrunner community find us, we encourage all the entertainers to be a part of this channel. Furthermore we encourage the non-entertainer community to use it in order to find us, because we are simply letting them know how we, theentertainers, are going to deal with the challenge of having recursive macros removed and that we haven't forgotten the non-entertainer playerbase and will continue to look after them as best we can with these changes. If your server doesn't have one - make a stand, it'll catch on and is a lot of fun

Secondly - NO to receiving the buffs passively by just being in the same area as us. We have little to no control over our healing abilities as it is. And that is a big part of the problem - we are not the active healers, the patrons are because they are the ones who control whether or not they /watch or /listen. Personally, I would like to see the dancer gain some more power and responsibility in that area to ensure that our patrons are receiving the full benefits. Just as docs reserve the right to buff actively, I think dancers should also be extended the same type of function.

Also, while the idea of allowing entertainer droids fucntion as a medical robot isin fact interesting in allowing us to buffanywhere (would this fix the BF healing in camps also, per say?) - I have to say it makes me kinda shudder to think of a line of dancers lined up just outside Theed starport next to the docs. Entertaining is a process of sitting down and relaxing at a cantina, and I think the abilities of the these robots would further detract from the use of a cantina than improve accessibility. Makes me think the starport will be further turned into a spam-infested one-stop-shop. However, I must admit - I'd love to see the street busking spots utilised more, however I'm not sure this is the way.

Anyway! All I can think of for now - keep em coming guys, some good stuff here

Currently, in my opinion, buffing is an interuption to a performance. You have to overload the system with flourishes to make a buff in an even remotely reasonable amount of time.

So there I am with my group having a great time making a good show with bandflourishes, lights, and the works. In comes John Q PowerGamer and wants to have a mind buff-from me the only available master at the moment. Now I have to dump the good performance and start a macro that will feed the same flourish into the system over and over taking away all of my creative ability in an effort to offer the best product. In the mean time Mr Powergamer has not informed himself of how to recieve a buff, so instead of an in character chit chat we end up with what is basically a scripted conversation to make sure that he is indeed watching me, and not meditating or doing any other of the multitude of things that can interfere with a buff. I insult him and (if he is overt) put him in danger by asking him to unequip his weapon so that I can know for certain that he is clapping. The entire experience is crap from the perspective of the dancer as well as the customer.

Personally I think it would be interesting to see some kind of charge up timer on the tech line fx and then we can just do one of those nifty neato sparkly lights to administer what would be an instant buff. Make the recovery time 2 minutes or whatever and apply the buff just like a doc does: Target the player, perform an action, buff is done.

Perhaps the charge time in between can determine the strength. For example, I just buffed someone 1 minute ago. Figuring the recharge time at 2 minutes if i want to buff someone right now I would only be able to give a half quality buff. Something like that. It's not a completely thought out idea.

There needs to be a cost to administering a buff, action pool and time are our current costs. I think we can keep this the same. There needs to be a way to control the quality. Right now # of flourishes determines the buff quality but I think that is a mistake. As a live performer, administering a buff becomes an inconvenience and an interuption to your party/performance.

I think if we can come up with a way to fullfill the needs of the powergamers while still holding the interest of the social players we could definitely solve this problem.

The short version is that if we want buffs to be accessiblethe buffing processneeds to be a fun, functional and profitable thing to do. At the moment it is not.

Buffing is a true inconvience for the entertainer and customer right now. The best way to improve buffs is to make buffs instant to reduce the failure of buffs. or to have a system in which a buff bar will appear and the mind enhance ment will fill the bar each flourish adds to the bar fillin git when full the customer can stop watching and recive his buff.

Entertainer buffs meeting the same quality of doctors would help in the usefullness of the buffs.

I really the idea of sellling buffs through disks I can use my droid and film a dance make a basic hologram of each race&sex make only master muscains or dance able to create them require some resources likea recording device (made by droid engineer or master artisan from componits from a droid engineer ect ect) once used becomes brokenlimit the dance or song to the highest one possible vitrios(sp) and exotic4. make the buff 100% live entertainers will be better since they can improve bufs up to 125% (or higher by removing this cap to a higher number like 200% with skill tape enhancements) now we have a item to sell and make money off of more items for artisains or whoever to make and sell be fair and limit the cost of the items so we can sell said items on the bazar to make the mind buffs more avaliable all the time I am sure there will be a higher demand for these items and buffbots will become irrelevent since the convince of the recording will out weigh a buffbot, no healing done so they still need to go to a cantina still making ATK entertainers valid and important.

If there really is going to be a change I would like for it to benefit not only those looking for mind buffs but also us.
Please make it easy and convenient.
I’m not sure if anyone mentioned this, if yes please forgive me for repeating but this is the way I would find it easy.

1)Fix the registration, that alone would make it so much easier for combat types finding us and knowing exactly where to go.

2)Take away the /setp and need to spam flourishes like mad. Quality of buff being determined by Dance Technique level only, with master having the highest of course.

3)Add an option on a targeted player radial menu for the entertainer to open without actually stopping what he/she is doing. A small unobtrusive box would open and slowly start filling up with yellow (kind of like a single exp box). Once it’s filled the box turns green (in 2 or 3 minutes) and entertainer can press “OK” or “DONE” or whatever. This way if someone is in the middle of actual performance he/she doesn’t have to stop at all but continue performing and still help a customer needing his mind expanded. But please pretty please, give only the entertainers the option to open the buff box, so we don’t get box-spammed. I really wouldn’t like it if my screen turned in to a priceless cubism painting.

4)Make it so that if buffing in-group, not using the radial menu the buff takes MUCH longer to apply (15 minutes or more). This way the guild’s buff bots may still function in limited way for the die-hard addicts but it would most likely drive the greedy spammers blocking the Cantina entrances away. Please, don’t take me the wrong way, I would rather eliminate bots completely but I would be willing to live with this solution for a while.

5)Please, don’t turn us in to crafters manufacturing buffs on assembly line. It’s not why I dance and therefore I really dislike the crafting idea (no offence meant to anyone). But maybe let Droid Engineers make a device, which could hold one buff set (one dance and one music). Each player could only have one of these devices. Once an entertainer does the buff from radial menu and presses “done” the player then has a choice to press “use” for the buff to be applied or “store” for the buff to be saved on the device for rainy days when needed later. Since each player could only have one set of buffs stored I don’t think it would hinder us in any way and it would definitely give them a piece of mind knowing if they really have a problem finding an entertainer to buff, they still have an option of using the stored buff. To prevent an exploit of suddenly using the stored buff in a middle of PvP or what not there would have to be a timer of some sort when the player wishing to apply his stored buff have to be sitting (or something) for the same duration it took the entertainer to actually create the buff.

6)I really like the idea many pointed out about Entertainer’s missions sending us to various Cantinas to perform for a given duration, it would help to spread us thru out the galaxy. But please do increase the pay out. There is nothing more frustrating then completing a mission and the pay out not even covering the shuttle ticket.
