I like puttingmy razorcat in wedge formation while I dance. It looks like he's dancing with me.

No one mentioned Squalls?
Dancing Squall for the ents, one that dances happily around your feet while you dance.
One that can be "dressed" in a few jackets....
Ofcourse, this also means that there must be a new dancer outfit..."Squall Leotard"

And a musician Squall
One that can be trained to play the Fizz or a mini..err..whats the big thing called again?...A squall that mimics the play while humming or squealing the song.
And not to forget, a pharple,(For ents and stormtroopers!)
That quacks to the music and can sit on your shoulder...on some dances..I doubt he will be happy with tribal.

It's bad enought that non CH's get creatures, without having them dancing.

I suppose you want the monkey collecting tips? This sounds like a step towards POKEMON and falling further from the "combat" aspect. However, if Creature Handlers were given the ability to get their pokemon to dance, and receive entertainment healing from it, that would give CHs the ability to heal, that would be something. Maybe next, we can set up farms for the Chefs, so that they can get quality eggs from their peko, andsteaks from their paralope.
[Ok. Now this sounds like trolling. CHs should not be allowed to heal. I imagine dancing pets to be like the playback droids. A master carbineer can buy one, but it won't play any music for him.
And what is wrong with giving CHs something other than combat to worry about? Not everything in this game revolves around it. Yes CHs need to get back in combat, but with a little imagination CH expands dramaticly.]

Hello, I know this thread has died out, but, we are getting some ideas ready to take to Fanfest for the devs. We have proposed through are Corral Thread v4 that we might be able to breed pets capable of being taught some simple commands or receive some small bonus to enhance specific proffesions. I have suggested we (C/H) be able to teach a "play" command that would allow a non C/H to play with their pet and gaining certain small enhancements to their proffesions. In your case they would add in a small way to your performance and take part. I have also suggested that D/E be allowed to have a module of a +1 pet that would allow you to have your entainer droid and your entertainer pet out at the same time. Please take a quick look at our thread (sorry no clicky) and reply back. Thank You for your input.
PS: My wife is a dancer and she might be prejudice but she is all for it.

Birds. Large and small. Parrots. That we can teach phrases -- like vendor barking. (But definitely make it so it could be /addignored).
I recall reading somewhere a few months ago about the Nemodian Bird Cage (that used to have a "Use" option on the radial) that it was intended to have a special bird placeable in it. A Mocking bird. One that would repeat phrases heard within it's range. But "the bird" was not put into the game at release,and was supposed to be implemented later.
(There used to be tons of threads, during and after beta about "What is the Nemodian Bird Cage for! I've tried to put every tameable bird into it, nothing!" And people tried putting all kinds of items and pets into the cage. Nothing activated the "use" option. It was "The Mystery" to solve. The Devs wouldn't say. Just smugly posted hints and "you will see" type teasers. Till one day I ran acrossa Dev post about the Nemodian Mocking Bird -- which I cannot seem to find that post now.) 
I would LOVE to have this bird finally put into the game!

I too love the idea of a pet that would sing or dance as you perform.
The idea of a firelizard is great but since that is copywrited by Anne McCaffery in her Pern series of books. Might be impossible as they would have to get permission from her to use them.
One thing I would love to see, is being able to have my pet do something unmentionable to people who come in and are being the horse's readend or have been placed on my ingore or /denyservice list. Justice to them at last!!! hehe
