Thread: New music video Video of props and new dance
Seriously... who is grinding now? I go into cantinas and they are EMPTY save for maybe 3 or 4 ents.
Certainly the afk problem is pretty much null... now that buffs are gone.
I just do not see the afk anymore as being an issue any longer.

if you want proof of AFK entertainers come to dantooine MO cantina on europe-chimaera
minimum of 10 afk entertainers there at most times
ive seen 18+ once
My only problem (and this was on my end) is that there was so much going on, I'll have to watch it a few times to see everything. (Too overtrained, I guess. My eyes tend to track to any movement and it makes it very difficult to watch something like that when 7-8 people with 2-4 particle effects are moving about the screen.

YAY!!!!! OMG they fixed the visibility issue on TC - things are definetely looking up.
You also need to consider your monitor/screen into the color equation, if you are running one of the newer plasma screens the colors are not as true.

Three days in a row I walked into Theed cantina on Kettemoor, never less than ten people there and performing, only half had AFK tags up.
Asked three times if there was room in a group.
I would have been fine if someone had said "I'm sorry, we're full" or "The lead is AFK".
Instead, completely and utterly ignored. Totally. Three. Freakin'. Days.

IMO, ATK ents ignoring others has been a problem for a while. The feedback I have been given (& this goes way back before mind buffs were removed) was that unless they were interested in making credits at the moment, a lot of entertainers prefered to ignore anything outside of group chat because they were there just to visit with their friends in group. Recently I've been working on musician skills on one of my dancers and I've found it impossible to get into a group. I do get a lot of tells from entertainers in the cantina who want to recruit me to their guild (I'm in a pvp orientedguild on that server) but no one wants to play rock with me I guess. 
Oh yeah..this is priceless:I've been informedthat if I don't join one of the ent guilds,I must be an alt training upto bot..lol..if they only knew!

Makes me want to be a Master Dancer again.
It did occur to me a little later that they might have been a band putting on a performance there, but even if that was the case someone could have simply sent me a tell saying so and that while the band was performing they wanted only bandmembers in the group, but they didn't even do that. Very rude in my opinion.
Not that this has anything to do with the original topic, though. I haven't had a chance to watch the video yet, but I should get a chance to tonight. I'm looking forward to it!

Anyway.. I've noticed that Coronet Cantina is totally deserted now. But Mos Eisley, Dantooine Mining and Theed are packed to the gills with AFKers, at least half of which are post-master bots. I gnashed my teeth a bit at the bios that said things like "I'm almost always AFK so don't worry about offending me, thanks to my tippers (high tipper list here) " and "Thank you to the entertainers of Theed for helping me set up my AFK macro" (that was on what was VERY VERY obviously an alt account advertisement buffbot for a master weaponsmith, as it spammed the newest stocked items in bio and spatial form).
What I've noticed the most for non-grinders is advertisement bots. Lots and lots of them. The WS I mentioned above, an AS at the Dant MO, several standing outside of starports.. they're all over the place.
Anyway to stay on topic, the video was great!! I had to go out and hand sample some more fiberplast and gemstone so I could make the pretty mystical ribbons... soo pretty!

I understand the desire for this function, but it should be done by an NPC in a barkers area by the starports and banks... not by AFK alts ruining what is meant to be a social environmentwhere social players are supposed to be doing our live at the keys social gameplay!
