The DEVs don't care about us and are not going to do anything to fix our profession. It's about time we all faced facts and decided if we're happy with the way things are or is Dancer too broken to continue with because nothing is going to be done for us.

TH (not a dev but still) has posted in the Musician forum (like three times in one thread, yay!) ... he brought up the "social" thing again and even threw in Dancers, so maybe it's time to relook at our list and make a new one with what we know now?

We don't have to make a list of questions and expect answers again, that hasn't really worked out so far. As Ravenmist has told us, TH said again that new stuff is coming but he won't give details yet. We can however so totally copy NewJedi's idea and give Ravenmist a list of cool or fun ideas to throw out into the corr forum. TH bragged on it, we might as well go with what works.

It seems like we need to learn what they mean by "social" - how much game interaction is going to be allowed (like missions)? Will they consider some suggestions for making ATK more desirable (they have said they want to encourage ATK, just not stop AFK)? These are the things we need to figure out and the only way it seems to do that is to just keep throwing out suggestions and seeing if we get a response. Ravenmist can do this best in the Corr forum and with PMs I think, so we need to start helping him get some lists organized.

I think a good idea would be a weekly roundup of top forum ideas, threads, and topics with a little summery of each. It would rock if Ravenmist could start doing these, but if not we can take turns with it to make it easier on him. I think they should be done on Fridays since that's when weekenders will come on, so I'll do one tomorrow if no one does it before me and maybe we can start to see some action in here!

Still, considering that Publish 8 is supposed is going to be all about Imagine Designers (much to the scorn of a few combat members of my guild), I have faith. At this point IDs have less than we do, and they're getting help.

Seems to me like it's only a matter of time. It's the question of how much time

At the risk of sounding like a broken record (har har), I'd urge entertainers to hang in there a bit longer. I know you're tired of hearing that. But there is at least a little new content on the way, and I would hate to see anyone press the "Surrender Master Dancer skill" button before hearing about it. I'm hopeful the devs will post something about it shortly.

I suggest people take a look at the new "State of the Game" letter. I found one part very interesting:

------------------------------------------------------------------

"Social Adventure" Opens

This will mostly be a non-combat adventure, targeting Entertainers, Dancers, Musicians, Image Designers and fast-talking Smugglers... perhaps set in the Hutt Casino. Loot will be new songs, dances, etc.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Yay! Now if only they had given us some kind of heads-up...

Hehe, well, that's what I was trying to do when I posted yesterday that I thought some news was coming. The devs had encouraged me to say something to keep morale boosted.
