Thread: Resource buff reduced.

I would also just like to note that before, a 980 attribute to a resource wasn't quite enough for me to feel it's a "must have" in terms of mining it ASAP.

I used to jump right on 990+ or so, unless I really just needed something quick.

Now, I can go visit a friendly Entertainer prior to making some schematics (not necessarily will I need to be buffed up all the time), and when I make the schems the new attributes will help push the quality of that item up a bit - but not so much that I'll feel I'll need the buffs all the time to deal with having far less-than-perfect resources.

I think 1% and 2% are good numbers to work with. The ONLY thing that I really kinda don't like is that there is a disparity between the resource quality buffs given - that's just unnecessary confusion. Why must it be different? Just completely REMOVE the 1% bonus and keep the 2%. It should be unique to elite Entertainers only.

There's a really disturbing thread complaining about Ents in the WS forum now. I seriously think we need to stop responding to any posts to defend the resourcebuff at all. The fact is, we wanted buffs to help make crafters happy and improve their game - we wanted to become part of a cycle we felt like we might fit in better with than combat.

I know a lot of us were fine with being a part of the combat cycle to or leaving it closer to how it was, but still this was the over all goal of doing non-combat buffs for those of us that did think this might bea good idea. It's not like any of us ever said "hey, what can we change about crafting that we don't like by getting buffs for them."

There has been a bad reaction to this one buff bonus, so even though I personally have some feelings on the areas of crafting it wouldaffect, I don'tneed to be an instrument for the Devs to make crafting changes in those areas. In fact, I'd rather not. We're all pretty freaked out and sensitive about backlash in here having been through some pretty rough stuff in the past.

So, instead of defending this one small part of thenew buffs, I think we should justhelp try to find alternatives. Honestly, the buff we are giving willnever have anyeffect on our Ent gameplay, only the reaction to it. So I really want to urge everyone to again just try not toget caught up inthe war overthis one part of the buff.

We're really getting into some Ent PR issues at this point, which just makes me a little ill.

I agree with Panthu that responding may just feed the trolls and circle around the same old arguments over and over. Our corrs know our feelings by now, so we can stop making ourselves frustrated defending our new content.

I am a dancer, and I do not defend this new vision about who we should serve, why, and by what means.

In a sense, I'm with the WS on this one. Not because the buffs unbalance the game, but that it doesn't give me enough of a game, and enough usefulness,to play as a dancer when I log on.
