This is a good thing. Infiltrator suits were not intended as a loophole to make a character naked. That some used it for this purpose necessitated the change. I owned a black infiltrators suit for my black twi'lek and I got tired of people asking me how to make their characters naked. People don't run around naked in Star Wars. The look of the infiltrator suit as a peice of clothing was improved. Good move by the devs.

BTW, I stilllook nakedwith a black-on-black tactical skin suit. I don't think it works with other colors because the stripes become more visible.

Look folks, it doesnt matter how much it shouldn't matter, or that parents shouldnt care, or that is shouldnt be an issue. It became an issue, why? Becuase of idiots. Becuase people posted on the boards pics of themselves in the flesh colored bodysuit caliming that they found a cheat to become naked.

Sony made a decion and we can't do bubkiss about it. If you dislike it that much, I'm sorry. That the way it is. All the screaming in the world wont make it change, and infact just makes us all look like we are a bit to preoccupied with clothes.

Dont like the bodysuit now? Put it on the bazzar, you'll make a tidy profit and can invest in some other outfits. There are lots of really sexy outfits in the game.

Live with it, if you can't. Go play something else. Its just a game.

A colored infiltrator suit or pants really look a bit funky now. Black infiltrator pants still look quite nice--kind of like textured stockings. With a bright colored jacket or top they can still be part of a nice outfit.

A pity that they could not let tailors vary the patterns on infiltrator suits now. Even if the momentary illusion of undress is too much for the dame, there is no reason to make the outfits uniformly unattactive. I feel sorry for tailors who stock these. I have a feeling they are going to need to write down the value of inventory.

I like the new textured body suits better.

I hardly think it was the only neat thing dancers had.

I hardly think it affects our profession at all.

I'm sure the change to apiece of clothing was nowhere near the time it would take to fix a profession and so one or two coding line changes was a worthwhile investment of a few minutes time while they still devote hours and days to dealing with the big stuff. They're probably done by different teams anyway so complaining of time is a non-issue.

Think of ways to use the new suits if you want to be creative.

This idea that SOE is going to be threatened with a lawsuit over bodysuits is so ridiculous that it's laughable. There is NO NUDITY INVOLVED in this case. Thus, there is absolutely no basis on which to base a lawsuit. The frivolity of such a lawsuit would be apparent to even the most litigious and unethical prosecution attorney. No one could ever get such a suit into a preliminary hearing, let alone win a lawsuit based on such arisible pretext. To claim that SOE has reason to fear a lawsuit over this is about as reasonable as claiming that Godzillais a real threat to Japanese cities.

And obviously you are a judge in the US law system to back up your claims ?

I'm not a US citizen, but I have seen enough lawsuits that seemed silly but ended in multi-million dollar fines. If the slim chance of a multi-million dollar lawsuit can be nullified by implementing an easy fix that leaves some players unhappy, guess what happened ? US law isn't reasonable at all times, so better take precautions.

Nudity itself is not bad. However, people who pose nude in an online game in public aren't responsible, mature people most of the time and will use their nudity to offend. Oh, and just being nude in public is indeed a real world offense. Go out and try

The idea that McDonald's is going to be threatened with a lawsuit over their coffee, which is supposed to be served hot, IS hot is so ridiculous that it's laughable. Oh wait...

I guess I don't understand the outrage over the change. I think my black infiltrator suit rocks now. I love the patterns on it. Quite frankly, I never wore the bodysuits much anyway. I don't think they are flattering, even when flesh colored.I had a black suit just because I liked to look like cat woman (matched myjet black hair). Now I think it looks even cooler with the patterns.

I can think of at least 10 other outfitsin my inventory I would wear over thebodysuit any day.. - prettier & sexier. But that's just me.

I don't care that SOE added patterns, it's just clothes. I don't quite understand why Beery is so angry over this. Man, there are clothes that just FLAT OUT blow away the chintzy bodysuit look.

"Beery, do you live in the US? If you do, you already know the answer to "how ridiculous can it get"."

I do live in the US, but even here it's not anywhere near as ridiculous as to makethis 'potential lawsuit' over bodysuits a reality. Frivolous lawsuits with much more to them than what's being suggested here are thrown out of court all the time here in the US.

"people who pose nude in an online game in public aren't responsible, mature people most of the time and will use their nudity to offend."

I'd love to know who has posed nude in an online game. I know of no online game that features nudity. If you know of one, please let me know.

Nudity is only offensive to Bible belt wackos and religious fundamentalists the world over. Unfortunately, people like youmindlesslyassume that THEIR values are better than the more natural and less restrictivealternative. That's why we havelegalrestrictions on nudity (something that is completely harmless)and restrictions onlots of other freedoms, both herein the US and alsoinother countries. I mean women can't even go to the beach topless here - that's pretty sad.

Erm... what gives you the impression that I'm angry about this, or about anything else to do with this game? This is a discussion forum. We share opinions and argue points of view here. Don't assume just because I hold strong opinions, that I'm angry about any of this. When I start using ad hominem attacks and insults, that's the time to assume I'm angry. We're a long way from that.

As for SOE adding patterns, if that's what they had done I would have no problem with it. To say they merely 'added'patterns is disingenuous. They did not 'add' anything by changing the pattern. They took away one piece of clothing and substituted another for it. Some would say the new clothing was an improvement, others, like me, don't see it that way. Why can't we have both patterns? Diversity is alwaysa good thing.

Some people really have issues.

Beery, hun, I share your concerns. I own a Leotard and I like it very much, not as much as my expensive dress, but really alot

Before I read this topic I had an idea to make Image Designers even more appreciated then they allready are, but after reading this I don't think I will ever post my idea about adding a bodypaint option to the skill tree of Image Designers. In short, my idea was to make this thing paintable by image designers, just like real life, it could be a act on it's own where a Image Designer slowly painted the Dancer in the skincolored bodysuit.

Here in Holland we used to have a parody show in the '80s, one episode dealt with Barbie and portrayed a young boy hitting nails into barbies lower part so it would be more lifelike, the boy wrote many letters to Mattel (or whoever builds this sex doll) that he was frustrated that he could not use the dolls to explore his sexual fantasies, he went on to complain that Ken had no p*nis... I think you get the idea.

Personally I think SOE has nothing to fear from potential law suits, get a smart lawyer and i'll send a DVD of that episode to convince the judge that this whole thing is absurd. I don't hear any complaining about pregnant barbies or cursing dolls or peeing dolls or...

Well Beery, I stand corrected, it's just that you come across as angry in your posts. Not an angry person, per se.. but angry about the change.

I don't think you are being very polite or sensitive calling people bible thumpers and religious whackos either.Flingingblanket insults around ishardly a constructive way to argue your point, nor does it strengthen your position.

Moreover, I dont recall seeing a single post where someone used their religious beliefs as a basis for being anti-fleshtone.

There are plenty ofprude SECULAR people around.

As far as I can tell with my black skinsuit, they added patterns. I don't see any other difference with it, so forgive if I was wrong about that.

You are entitled to your opinion, I never intimated to the contrary. Personally I dig my bikini sets and leotards.

Cheers.

"... I mean women can't even go to the beach topless here - that's pretty sad..."

ya, there are nudie beaches, but you are right, it's not the norm. you have to go to specific beaches if you want to go topless.

im kinda glad that only certain beaches are nude.i dont care to witness some 45 yr old , 70 lbs overweight, nursed 5 kids of a woman sprawled out on the sand commando style. I DO find that offensive, LOL.

Im just joking, mmkay?
