I was the first one in my circle of friends to play this game and I'm still the only one even though others are more into SW, it's this way because I told and showed them things about the game. One of the biggest laughs was when I told them that smugglers can't smuggle for example... They just said "tell us when it's out of beta", I guess I should spread the word about SOE politics a bit more, I'm curious how many people I know will buy Everquest 2.

Hi everyone. I'm posting for two reasons. The frst is to bump this thread so that it doesn't die. Everyone, dancer or not, should read this.

The second reason is to have my say. First of all, I quit SWG nearly a year ago. I played on several servers, including Test, and mastered/near mastered quite a few professions, including Tailor, Architect, Ranger, Scout, Artisan, Chef, Merchant, Bio-Engineer, and yes, Dancer. Dancer was my favorite. After not playing for all these months, when I got my email last week telling me that I could play the game for free for 10 days...well, I logged in my dancer and started dancing.

I have seriously contemplated reinstating my account and buying Jump to Lightspeed, but after trying (read: being totally bummed and frustrated by)the new quest and learning of the absolute disrespect of my favorite profession and all my fellow performers, I will be boycotting instead. I'm here to propose you join me. I believe this is the best way to get these issues fixed.

And if and when it is fixed (doing somepositive thinking here), I'll be back. Keep on keepin' onmy friends.

Peace.

Boycotting does have it's place in the consumer marketing strategy. However, it's usage is limited. How much canyouget done from the outside to affect changes on the inside? If you are leaving the game in the belief that what you do outside of it will be more beneficial, I'm afraid you will find you are mistaken. Each entertainer player who leaves the game makes a statement for themselves alone - not for the whole. Sad, but true. We are not part of a larger "organization" who can effectively alter the direction of a company by boycotting it. We are one of the smallest groups in SWG (aside from rangers, probably). Becoming smaller isn't the answer. Staying united, banding together, being one voice can be.

True, but I'm personally boycotting JTL and all future expansions. When they follow through on their promise to eliminate AFKing and give this profession the love it needs, I'll buy their expansions. I've also cancelled an alt account outright.

But I'm not leaving. I can't continue to wage war against this dev team from the outside, so they'll get their $15 a month and a big ass thorn in their side to go with it. Hope they enjoy it.

Any friends who even contemplate getting into this game would get an earful from me. I'd have no problem convincing them to save their money.

I'm a burn victim, baby, but I'm staying right here and I'm gonna burn right back if I can.
