You know, I typed up this big ol' post about why I would be opposed to this at the current point in time and support making dancer and musician more unique from each other instead, and then ended up having to cancel it and leave work, *poof* goes post. /sigh

There are still some points I'd like to make so I might type it all back up later, or post in a different thread.. if I posted all the stuff I ran out of time to finish typing I'd be the super-spammer.

I would like to see dancer and musician take fewer points, I would love to be master entertainer, dancer, musician and id, but that's not possible with the current point system. I love entertaining, but at this point it isn't a way to make a living, and I don't see how it would be over powering to lower the points for us to master a profession that we could earn more, like combat, or artisan, doctor whatever. Just my 2 credits.

Personally. I would want to keep dancer and Musician separate. Yet allow both professions to buff all thee mind stats, thus removing the need to have both professions and turing the chose into more of a personal prefrence kind of thing..

I think Merhant should be its own profession like Politician...

If they did Combine dancer and musician It shoudd be something like this....

(Master Performer)

(Performer Tecniques) (Dancer Knowlage) (Musician Knowalge) (Performer Healing)

Roho is a musician. I am a dancer.I tried out music once - he tried dance a couple of times. He's still a musician and I'm still a dancer. Combining dancer and musician just isn't an option in my view - anymore than making us able to do each other's buffs would be.

But then . . . we combine our skills so well together as it is . . .

Exactly how I feel. There is no better time than when Imaji and I are working as a team I don't need dance abilities or skills I have the best of them in the best partner in the game.

Honestly, we need to fit with the Dev vision of Ent. It doesn't do us any good to keep banging our heads up against a wall trying to be something they don't intend for us to be. So, if that means drastically changing how we look now so we can fit that Design Vision... fine!

Hopefully we'll all be more clear on what we're supposed to be then and we could really flourish and grow! I just want us to be where ever we are going to be allowed to make the most sense in the game and get as many cool things as we can!

But . . . what if I don't want to be whatever nebulous design the devsdecide entertainersshould be (if they ever come up with something concrete)? What if I want them to listen to us (for a change) and form the basis of this "social" profession from the thoughts, ideas and inputof the players who are actually playing it instead of what they think would be most convenient for the rest of the player base?

I don't like the idea of paying$15 a month for an animated chat room. I'm not going to have my vision of my character compromised, limited or shunted aside because it makes it easier on the devs to program. I'm getting really close to feeling as though I'm wasting good money every month for a game created and maintained by people who don't think throughthe consequences of their programmingand who don't listen to the very customers their programming will be affecting most.

I had my pc reloaded a few days ago and had to reinstall mySWG CDs again. I'd forgotten something that the intro said just before launching into the game. Itwassomething along the lines of: Now prepare for the most exciting Star Wars story ever told - YOURS!

I've had a bit of a let down in that regard . . . .

Not eveny one is so lucky as to find another player who plays teh opposite profession to group with and buff with..

I know I never found a good Dancer who played around the same times as me

Good point, yes I am very lucky to have an extremely close friend who also loves the counterpart to what I enjoy. I do know that with dancers outnumbering musicians during the hours I play it isn't hard to find someone to work with you. I don't know how hard it may be at other times.

I'm all for combining musician and dancer

Why isn't it good enough when I suggest this?

I haven't read it all, but I've thought about the prospect of combining the two professions into one for quite some time now. My suggestion was to redistribute healing mods throughout the knowledge and tech lines, and then replace the healing lines with something that would give us jurisdiction over game mechanics such as the recently-introduced player event perks, but apparently those are for everybody now. *shrug*

My last post was intrupted.. I thought I had not posted but it looks like I did so..

Personally. I would want to keep dancer and Musician separate. Yet allow both professions to buff all thee mind stats.(I think Entertainer buffing should be more involved anyhow but thats another subject altogether) In my oppinon Being a Dancer or a Musician is a play style choice and you shouldn't have to have both to be a good "Entertainer" (at a cost of some 200 Skill points? Ent: 15+14x3 Dnc: 6+14x4+1 Muc: 6+14x4+1)

When I started out on Corbantis server */wave Elwyn* I was a Musician. I did not want to be a Dancer, I wanted to be alittle combat enabled as well as a Musician. I can not bare to count the number of times I was passed over for buffs because I was not a Dancer/musician, and what made it more painful was That I was almost always passed over for some "Stacker's" 2-boxed bot that he/she probably had running while they were off killing Krayts or what ever for uber loot. *deep breath* Ok.. this is not ATK V AFK... sorry.

I Disagree with the ID comment, I think it fits in well with the Entertainer tree. What they do 90% of the time is an aid to entertainers... Make-up Hair, Body shape.. When I think of that I think of like the makeup artests who work on movie sets and stuff like that

I would like to see Merchant become a Basic professions like Politican, but with about half of its normal point cost, So that combantants can afford to have at least a loot vendor or Two.

IF they did Combine dancer and musician It shoudd be something like this

(Master Performer)
(Performer Tecniques) (Dancer Knowlage) (Musician Knowalge) (Performer Healing)
(Dazzler)(Master Dancer) (Master Musician) (Mesmerizer)
