Didja know that hys is the same root word as in hysterectomy.

Maybe it should be spelled histerical

and hystory

I don't like it when people refer to Palacek as "hun" or "hon." [Actually, I don't like it when they call him anything other than Master P, but that's another story...]Whenpeople call him hun, I am inclined to think that they are female. I have always assumed that they just use it as a normal part of their vocabularies, not as a term of endearment, and definitely not as a way for men to trick others that their female characters are real-life females.

It would seem seriously odd if I made Palacek refer toanybody as "hun," male or female.

If I remember right I started to pick up words like hon, hun, dear, etc. from my guild in the game. Before I never used those words.

But then in real life I'm male, rp a female, and treat her like I would a male character. Funny how people still think I'm female in RL...

Gah, I was in a party once and the leader, with whom I was goofing around with and even flirting a bit, after awhile asked me if I was a cool chick.. SoI told 'em, I'm female and enjoy cold weather, he asked again, and then again! Finally I just "/group LAST TIME I'm saying this! I do indeed have breasts in real life!" just to embarris him by bringing the whole group into the conversation... It backfired on me, he emediately stopped guiding the group to start hitting on me instead, everyone was confused, the exp stopped, I was in it for the money and all night we only actually managed one mission...

It just bothers me to be called male... I can't stand it /sniff

My wife plays a dancer on the Lowca Server. I asked her if she calls people "Hun."

She said "never."

I said "How do you let people know that you are a RL Female?"

She said "Why would I want people to know I'm a RL Female?"

I also play with a RL female friend in EQII. She said the same thing. Seems people pester RL females and the Real Females don't really care to let people know.

So, "hun" save it. I know you're a middle aged half blad guy just as I am.

qfe the blue! how many times have i tried to explain that to people Go ahead & call me bob, thats fine by me!

I'm a RL female, I call people 'hon' (never 'hun' ), sweetie, darlin' and sugah (not sugar) because I'm southern and proud of it and if some guy is wasting timeworrying about my RL gender, he needs to get a RL himself. And yes it peeves me when some guy decides to accuse me in spatial in a public cantina of being a RL male for no apparent reason at all.

I also admit I suspect that a female toon is a RLmale if 'she' constantly talks about how cute and how hawt she is, but I never point that out to her, especially not in spatial So we all have our personalpredjudices I suppose.

you know i must be one of the few rlf that actually uses the term hun/suger/babes etc but that comes with the territory as im a dancer and id on chim and withmy chari love to rp andchat and tart it a little with complete strangers always keeping them at a friendly arms length without being a power female or the giggly school girl, i like to play and thats the key term play a f char as a dancer who resembles me in no way in rl but is skilled enough in human contact to make it interesting for the prospective punter who is going to be my bread and butter for the forseeable future, my other toone on inf rarely uses the terms above except with some of the closer friends i have made, she isrifles and ch so with her its just down tothe business of the hunt, in rl well maybe i dont use it that much as igexcept the usual ones with hub is hen, babes, lover, sweetness mainly on pay day lol, kids suger, sweetheart, hen ( a scottish term btw, i think maybe itsjust a personal thing pet names are used very often within my rl family rarely outside but in game as i have said above you kind of have to push the bounds of normality out a little more than in rl after allits just a game.

as to ppl finding out if im f in rl, i find generaly its not a problem you get the occasional pre-pubescent being silly but they soon get put right, most of the time i have a good laugh with some of the other rlf even the crossdressers and the m chars tend to be surprised a rlf is into gaming but quiet nice to chat with in the bars and good tippers too if you flirt just a little lol.

also not baldy, comb over gentleman

ohh and thanks hun for paying my subscription again and encouraging me to come back to swg, nice way to wind down after a 14 hr shift, i love to dance and chat as you well know

I use "hun" alot, but only to my male friends on the game

I spell it hun I suppose because I'm a Brit, it's the whole mum/mom thing hehe

I'm a RL 28 year old female, and constantly get asked if I'm a RL female, and 95% of the time I only have to say "yes" and they believe me lol

But if blokes just presume I'm female RL and start taking the coversation in "that" way, I just tell them to stop because they are giving me a woody...works every time *grin*

Not only that, I am as far removed from girly in RL as you can get..a real tomboy. Probably why my online toons are all very feminine with all the social skills, clothes and perfect hair.

It's easy to have perfect hair in game. RL is another story. I swear, one of these days I'm going to shave my head...

That's a great idea!! There's this "girl" (she is soooooooooooo not a girl IRL) in the Theed cantina on Sunrunner who's always attempting to take the conversation "that way." I usually just say "No, I'm a good girl." But now I think I'll try that approach.

We play Spot the Todd too. Soooooo fun! And remarkably easy.

Hun= A barbarian tribe that over ran most of Europe, see Attila

Hon= A contraction for honey, used as a false term of endearment all over SWG.

(Ok the above is a joke, I know people use hun meaning short for honey)

The correct phrase would be "Dude, you're giving me a woodie"

Then maybe a hug or a peck on the cheek to completely homophobe the guy out...

Heheehe
