I'm not sure why but it always strikes me as hysterical when some sub-genius decides that I must be a guy.
Heheh...
I remember one of our frequent posters here (I will not say her name because you don't tell the age of a Lady....) who was RL female told a great story of some guy flirting with her, and she finally said, "Well yes, I'm female in real life. I also have grandchildren." (She was 55 or something in real life, and I guess had been a young mother.) The guy who was flirting with her, being all of like 17, FLIPPED OUT.
Hehehehehe... I love that story.
And no, I will not say who it was who told it... do a forum search -- if it holds posts for long enough you may find it.

Ha!
Like I said in the other thread, I say this all the time but I use "hon" usually because a lot of role players prefer that spelling. I'm a 28 yo married rl female. I'm not looking for a hook up or to talk anyone into believing my bio sex.
I'm just Southern and tend to use all kinds of terms of endearment - sweetie, babe, sugar, etc. It's not part of my rp, it's just how I talk, lol.
I'm with you. I'm a 40 yr old RL female raised in Texas. Everyone I know gets called honey, hon, darlin', sugar, sweetie, honeypie, sugarbritches....you get the idea.
Btw...I *hate* it when it's spelled 'hun' and it's dropped *constantly* while gaming. And many of the people using 'hun' are chicks. They tend to be younger chicks, instead of older ones. I think we older chicks tend to use the shorter versions of words -"hon = honey" and not the AOL speak version of words.
Maybe I'm just old.

Hehehehehe... I love that story.
I've got a similar story between myself and a guild mate. They call me the TWILF (you figure it out). Now, they all know I'm older than them and many do actually treat me like a crazy aunt. However...
One of the guys was semi-flirty, but never in a lewd way. A very charming way actually, which was refreshing.
He was very sad to learn that the sweet, VERY girly (but not bimbo) Twi'lek was his mom's age. Not only that, I am as far removed from girly in RL as you can get..a real tomboy. Probably why my online toons are all very feminine with all the social skills, clothes and perfect hair.

I use "hun" for the same reason. Besides I might actually think they are more like Attila.

I call people Hun but that's mostly because I am older than most everyone I play SWG with. So it's more of a motherly 'hun' than anything else. and yes I am real life female
