You can in fact stop dancing and start dancing again during the buffing. You must be dancing both when the buffee starts watching (duh) and when they stop watching, however.

Ahh... OK, that's fine then. As long as I can keep doing Lyrical, Popular, Formal, or whatever it is that I think is appropriate at the time, then I am fine with it.

If it is targetted then I would probably not do it unless someone asked, and then it would depend on context whether my character would need some form of "enticement." ("There is a whole crowd of patrons here... why should I focus on just you?"... "Well, honey, here's 1,000 cr for your personal attention for a few minutes.", etc).

In my opinionthis feature isjust anotherinvitation for players to be even moreresentful towards entertainers. Our customers simply don't count time spent learning our craft to be valuable. Until their attitude changes, or until we have ongoing outlays for replacing worn-out clothes, or some other monetary expense, the attitude of the combat classes towards us will not change, andour professionwill be resented.

The only reason I don't think this is going to be the case is because unlike BF and such, they don't have to get it done. They have to heal BF, they don't Have to have a mind buff. Its a service we offer, if they don't want to pay us for our time thats fine, they don't need the buff either. Battle Fatigue and Mind wounds however is something they have no choice about so i can understand some not wanting to deal with it.

To my way of thinking tho if we had to target them personally they would see our worth more. Plus since you can only target one person at a time they will appreciate the fact we targeted them. I could be wrong tho lol. Anyway till its a targeted skill I will do artisian stuff. Atleast ppl appreciate my ikle skills in that and then dance for friends who need quick healing or just when i want to.

Another thread just made me worry a little more about this. There is a perception on the part of many, that dancers are little more than strippers/prostitutes. I think this is because strippers are the only dancers people know of who work for tips. Adding a focused heal will tend to reinforce this false perception of our profession, since it's basically a 'personal dance' (read 'lapdance'). Right now we often get patrons coming into the cantina, licking us and treating us like whores. I can only imagine the scenario if we unknowingly start giving personal attention to one of these idiots and they start playing into the lapdance perception - euuwww!

In my experience, a well timed /tiny or a /bored will shut them up, especially if there are other males in the cantina. If I were in the situation of giving someone a targetted mind buff and them/lick, etc, I'd tell them to stop. If they don't, they can say bye to their buff. Then I'd not buff them again.

(Added musician & dancer faction perks (+10% effect to heal wound/shock & +25% mind buff value)

Allow doctor, musician, dancer faction perks to work whereever they can factionally register)

Im not currently factioned so Im not sure how this works. The +25% mind buff...will that be added to our already soon to be uber 100% buff???? And will that extra 25% only work on members of our own faction?

If anyone has any idea please let me know . I may find a reason to earn some faction points.
