Next time I run into you we cansee what it looks like on your computer on live. I still keep thinking that there was a short period after launch when those 2 dances didn't look as bad as they do now (my first dance partner & I used them). I think the difference in server load may be effecting a difference.

Warryr, theremay beone reason you can call this dance and song a "Novice" dance and song. Yes yes, I know you can't gain 400K XP at Novice because of caps. But once you get the song, I don't think you'll surrender it if you surrender skills all the way down to Novice. I'm not sure, because I still can't figure out where the song fits into my CTL S skillsheet. Erm, I'm not anxious to test it either. But that's my guess. I'll ask the devs about it.

Kirah, we'll have to agree to disagree about this one. You're right that it would be better to refer to these as Musician/Dance quests, not entertainer quests. In fairness, though,I think the devs were simply using the term they often use to refer to Musicians and Dancers collectively. They call us all entertainers.

I did see more of the problems with the base dance last night. Pappi did it for me, and it looked like occasional dance steps joined together by moonwalks. Oddly, it doesn't *always* look that way to me.

Hehe, you'll be amused to learn that I'm now working on Dancer on Test Center so I can test this dance. I'm almost at Novice Dancer now. Yay! But if I keep going, will I really want to get this new dance before Exotic? Hmm. Tough call. And then there's the fact that dancing makes me ... nauseous. How do you all do it? Third-person view is marginally better than first-person view. Then again, I'm doing Formal 2, which must be the worst from a motion-sickness standpoint. I imagine Exotic is more stable.

Panthu, do I get brownie points for this? Hmm, hmm?

I've had a major problem with motion sickness and vertigo for about the past year so doing anything in first person view just makes the whole room spin (irl). I highly recommend 3rd person and pull out a bit. But yeah..the "move around a lot stuff" is bad.

Yes, do pull the shot out quite a bit. And whenever possible, watch yourself from the front instead of the back. It makes keeping track of spatial chat bubbles (and incoming patrons)a bit more difficult but helps with the giddiness.

Oh, and you don't get brownie points - you get . . . .

CAKE!

(Although I'm not really sure I understand the whole "cake" thingand may be moving into dangerous territory. )

But we can't eat it or we lose our dancer's figure.

You get massive brownie points for this! Use third person, a Dancer should always be able to see both himself and his surroundings (doors, patrons, other Dancers you don't want to bump into, the fact that you missed your smokebomb dress change and are now standing there in your whites... you know, normal Dancer stuffs). Pull the camera way back and up, so that you are looking down at yourself and the rest of the floor. No more queasy.

Make sure you hit the stickies and read the guides. We have some really great ones.

Well, I realized that it was not right to judge the dance before I even tried it (although watching it is somewhat painful). So I am going for the quest on TC. I don't have master dancer there, but who knows . . .

Nope, but I'm holding Warryyr's $15 monthly subscription fee close by until I hear further on this.

Seriously, if we do their quests, we deserve our new content.

It's also completely stupid that a Novice Musician or Dancer can complete the quests, yet their xp is capped at 125k. So they won't even be rewarded. Even more inexcusable.

I'm not paying forthis game to be disadvantaged compared to other professions pursuing Jedi. If I'm an Entertainer, I deserve to get new content to continue to be entertaining. There's no reason for the xp requirement. If it's not removed, well, not sure how I'll proceed or what action I'll take.

I have not yet asked about this since I just found out about the XP Req myself, but I had the same thought when I saw it. Unfortunately, I don't think you would like the answer that I would get if I did ask and I'm not even sure that I should ask about it given the answers we have been given in the Corr Forum on FS/Jedi path as Ents.

We have been told to "respec" our chars for the Village... Entertainers have been excluded on purpose and you are only meant to go through the Village as an Artisan, Medic, or Combatant. It's not even about us being non-Combat at this point, it's about us not being the right kind of non-Combat to be included. We have to "respec" to Medic or Artisan for a non-Combat FS Path and Village Content.

That is completely mind boggling for myself as well considering that we were told over and over again that this content would include everyone. Once again, "everyone" doesn't seem to mean Ents.

The snubbing over the Village Content still has me feeling very frustrated. I appreciate that the Devs feel like we are a special and unique group of Professions and Playstyles in the Ent Community, I'm just ready to see it starting to work in our favor. Up until this point, it seems to only be alienating and excluding us from fun parts of the game with out offering us any unique attention or rewards in return.

The rare bones we are thrown in the way of these Ent Quests or Ent Droids are just very hard to appreciate considering that they have little to do with our actual requests and feedback in their finished forms. Sort of like the whole ID Stat Migration Mess, uhg, what a twisting of an ID request that was.

Anyway, yeah, go let them know about any and all of your concerns dealing with these Quests in the Feedback thread linked to above. Do not hold back, please mention all of your concerns, do be polite though.

you know somehow i missed this post untill now but reading it deffinatly "incites a responce" to be polite... whens the next ff? i may have to be sure to go (instead of drop by)to it so I can ask them face to face some new "questions"... chances are however they will act mute. Course in person there is a lot more I can do

There's like a 6 page thread on the in-live forum with people complaining about the dance. That's far more likely to get read by the devs, though they still haven't responded to any of this.

I think Javier means the "In Test" forum.

I'm hoping the lack of promotion to "Live" means that someone is working on this. Of course, a communication disruption can mean only one thing...
