I've watched this thread develop for a day. To be brutally honest, the only thing shocking to me is that fact that this shocks anyone at all.

Clearly the person was out of line, but why did you invite the buff bot into your group to begin with? I can only imagine it was to deny people the ability to use the buff bot which you don't think should be allowed and you didn't do this to piss people off?
This is the thing. Any person who runs a buffbot must know by now how much it pisses off the real entertainers. Yet they do it anyway for their own selfish reasons. One can argue that someone who groups a buffbot does it for their own selfish reasons and is knowingly pissing off someone else as well.
Fact of the matter is, people who run buffbots like to use the argument "well, it's game mechanics, I can do it, so there!" Similarly, a buffbot with an autojoin in their macro is allowing someone like Fuschia or myself to use game mechanics to disable that bot. If the buffbot doesn't want to be grouped, they need to take out the /join from their macro.

Still does not give that buffbot owner or the player who got angry any right to say those things to you, Fuschia. You did nothing the rules do not allow, Fuschia. He on the other hand broke community standards.
Oh, I know. If I felt I had done anything wrong or against the rules, I wouldn't have posted those screenshots.
Their macros can sometimes bring them back though. I willoccasionally bring them into my group and use /changebandmusic ceremonial. After all, Master Entertainer is useless to a buffbot since it doesn't need (or want) to actually entertain, so most of them don't bother with it.

By the way, you can usually disable musician buffbots until they return to the keyboard by grouping them, doing /stopband, and booting them. It messes up their macro.
