Thread: Naboo Theatres?

I fear this has all gotten WAY out of hand. Allow me to introduce myself: I am one of the Five founding members of Pale'in Ma-allesh, and remain as the guildleader. Our beautiful city is nearly a year old now, and we've had our ups and downs. Our original foundation was upon Five twi'lek's who formed a Council that ruled the city. Many of them have moved on, and we've implemented a multi-racial Militia to aid in the goverment of our growing haven. We're a very supportive, roleplaying, Alliance-affiliated, non-PvP community with a lot of happy members.

Ay'la has expressed growing concern with the "buffbots" across the galaxy. ALL of our founding members have been Master Dancers at one point. Many of our militia have also experienced the impersonal chill of a "boffbot" in the major cities, as well. We've heard her concerns and we understand the issue. Ay'la made the request to place the theater, the theater was placed, and then this thread exploded after the fact, unfortunately.

Allow me to clarify the situation in Ka'lehalle so Fend'oon, our cantina. Our founding mayor, the Kiva Ki'lara Mas'fina, was an alternate character to our Master Chef and our Master Armorsmith, a shared alt. The Kiva danced almost 24/7 away from the keys while our Chef was at the keys of another computer in the same room. There was no "spamming" in spatial, groupchat, or tells. She was just there at the guild's convenience if you needed heals, and she could be reached, even though AFK. Another council member was there most of the time in those days, as well. Shasa split her time between slaying our NPC foes and dancing for the pure enjoyment of it. I also joined them from time to time, but I was transient and went through Dancer and Musician, and finally settled back into my Master Tailor and Council Head duties. A short while later, Un're joined us, and danced alongside the Kiva most days. Un're, too, was an alt and many times was found AFK while he played his more active alternate character, who was in fact not a guild member.

As all good things come to an end, the Kiva and Un're both slowly drifted from the game, though they return from time to time. Un're is back for good, but touring local cantinas, and we rejoice to have him back. Kaia, and later Ay'la, were trainer to the honor of Master Dancership by these Council members, and they spent many good times together in Ka'lehalle so Fend'oon, even though the Kiva and Un're were very often AFK. As the Kiva faded from the game (she's returned to her Order on Ryloth; her mission to protect our city in the name of Kika'lekki has concluded), a new Mayor was elected. Azl'ra Ki'raaden is another shared alt character, who is often at the cantina for the convenience of the guild for heals, while another character is played ATK on another computer in the same room. Azl'ra is also online during these times to field questions from new guild members. Again, there is no "spamming" in any way, but Azl'ra does run auto-join macro at times, with no conversational component.

We understand Ay'la's concerns, as I stated above, and I'm deeply saddened that this had to come to public forums, where the uninformed offered their suggestions. Ay'la and the concerned parties spoke and resolved the issue in-game prior to the escalation of this post. I would ask that further bashing of Pale'in Ma-allesh and the PM guild (albeit mild bashing) discontinue, unless you've taken time to visit our website AND our beautiful home in-game.

Thank you for taking the time to read my post.

I have a little suggestion you could propose to that bot's handler, something that could be concerted with your city managers: put the bot in a "bot box", in a simple house, the bot has no advantage beeing in a Cantina rather than in any other kind of player made building. So, if he wants to keep the bot to "help citizens when no entertainer's available", he can put it in another building. Then announce it publicly to the citizens (mayoral mail) so they will -know- they can find a bot in that box outside of the cantina, if no live entertainer is performing, or available.
Then the cantina would be considered as a live party zone! the bot won't be breaking the nerves of entertainer actually playing their job in the Cantina

What do you think?

Just make sure that the so called "bot box" is far enough from the cantina to avoid the bot ****ing spam to reach the inside live entertainer's domain =) A buffbot is one thing... a yelling buffbot is what i hate the most in game

(edit: reworked badly written sentence /blame morning )

So a big space station got turned into scrap metal, an old guy and Dark Helmet died. Pretty sure there were a bunch of impies with big assed ships still sitting around wanting to enact vengeance on those rebs.

errr.... this has gotten off topic, hasn't it?

Ok, a bunch of impies wanting to enact vengeance and dance on thier bodies.

And if all else fails, Luke is still a whiny b****, and it wont be long until someone runs him through with a fork.

Why do people pay to play a MMORPG but not want to interact with other people?
Why, SOELA, why? Did the entire management join a cult, and at the same time perform home lobotomies?
It takes less time to look at the stickies than to ask a question and wait for sarcastic replies. So please oh PLEASE ask the same question many times. I enjoy the sarcastic remarks.
