1) I will say yes occasionally but not in general. There are times when I need to not be at the keyboard ( I have an 8 month old son) and I don't always have time to stop and /sit before i need to run. I try to stop though.
2) 20 minutes. I say that because that is the perfect length of time to change a diaper and feed him a bottle. Other than that I'd say 10-15 minutes.
3) I would give up almost anything to get rid of AFK play. Losing the ability to have someone AFK to round out a band at a gig would be a loss, but I'd live. I wouldn't like to be auto logged at 15 minutes, but losing all functionality, XP, bonuses, BUFFS at 15 minutes would be fine.

Not anymore.. When I first did Musician, I would go afk for 2-3 Hours.. between 3 and 5am Est simply because there was no one to talk to or interact with. Now that I am doing Dancer, I don't go afk much at all, just for the basic stuff.. but then I am dancing alll alone in my private cantina on Lok.. so I'm not affecting anyone even if I did go AFK
I should admit tho that sometimes I will tab out to read the forums (like right now) simply because there is no one in the cantina with me and my guild is off on some PvP disgussion that I'm not intrested in... It usually take me 15-20 min to make a post because I tad back and forth alot

No more them 30 Min, You know.. things DO come up... an unepected guest, dog pukes on the rug, stuff like that.

If I had been asked this back at launch I would have said 15 minutes. Given the current prevalence of unattended enting and combat, I would probably go with 30 - 60 minutes. Plenty of time to cover dinner/put the kids to bed/take a quick shower. Anything beyond a short break goes beyond 'brb' and into the realm of using the macro system to gain an unfair advantage over others.

1) Yes, I have on a couple of occasions when Im going to be back very shortly.Someone coming to the door, phone ringing, I need a fresh drink
2) 20 minutes is a fair window, anything that is going to keep me away longer than that and I log out anyway.
3) 15 mins is fine.

Never. It goes against all my principles. If I am AFK, I am usually sitting quietly on a chair, out of the main floor space.

I think anywhere between 10 and 15 minutes is enough. Just long enough to deal with menial tasks, bio breaks, snack retrieval, quick phone calls.

It would make no difference to me - because when I am AFK, I am exactly that. I am not benefitting from the environment, nor am I providing services to it. Why? Well, because I am simply not there participating in it.

On ocassion. Usually unplanned events like the cat jumping on the counter. Unexpected knock on the door, etc..

5 Min. Enough time to pay for the chinese order and get plates, etc...

Not at all. In fact, have an AFK animation that prevents any action other that defending. If the character is standing have them stare off into space slack jawed. If they are sitting, have the head fall bacl with their mouth agape

I'd rather people didn't do it at all, but I can live with people doing it a few minutes. I don't think stopping and sitting down is too much to ask of people.
