I do not care if all the macros in this guide have typos or are based on old techniques and common knowledge...

I do not care if macros are currently considered legit legit in game...

I do not care that this new guide will not really change things for better or worse in-game...

I *do* care that devs are essentially promoting entertainer-macroing and looping macros that lead to AFK gameplay. It's not about the data, it's about the principle.

This is a cold war against AFK buffbots. We have weapons. Eaca has her new C-aR. I have a bantha. If I see a buffbot in my cantina, I drop my bantha on it. No mercy. Period.

... and when Eaca is ready to release the source code for the new Combat Bot, we will all be able to say "thanks so much for the recent guide SOE, it really helped us alot with building this macro for our new Combat Bot"

I was interested to note Karquile's take on the AFK entertainer situation and particular his term of affection for all the dancers and musicians on the servers.

Nice, huh? The high-and-mighty Karquile is all over that thread. By the way, for anyone who wasn't sure what "Golgafranchans" means, it's a reference from Douglas Adams (Hitch-hiker's Guide to the Galaxy) that essentially means "useless people."

I'm about two days from quitting this game. I already cancelled my alt account. It's not just the double-standard from the devs, it's the abuse we take from blowhards like Mr. Golgafranchan. It's jerks like him that reinforce the stereotype that all at-the-keyboard entertainers are giggling 15-year-olds or frustrated housewives giving lapdances to anyone who'll sit still for it.

It's just not worth the frustration anymore.

I realize I don't have the same artistic flair as Javier. But, I thought I'd give my own artistic interpretation of the state of affairs for the entertainer professions here at SWG. I spent a lot of painstaking time on this video during my time away from the game while I was up in Maine for the Thanksgiving holiday. And, I figured since Javier said there'd be no specific video this time that I would make one instead. Constructive criticism is welcome.

How about a friday feature on making a mountain out of a mole hill?

Or one on chilling out and enjoying the game for what it is instead of deriving it for what it isn't?

Or maybe one on not being a hypocrite for casting stones at macros?
