Well, to be honest, I've yet to see a male exotic dancer in RL who could actually dance....

Why are you even here on these boards?

To troll?

To flame?

To bump up your post count?

You obviously have a lack of perspective, imagination, and wit, so it doesn't seem you have anything constructive to contribute here.

Go away, troll.

So just the other night I was in the Corena cantina, and i see 1 twi lek dancing a very fluid graceful....sensual dance....i had to ask what it was and she said it was exotic... it was really beautiful watching her, and no it wasn't in a sexual way, it's like watching a dancing gypsy. So then i walked around the cantina a bit and saw 2 more exotic dancers....both human, both wearing identical dresses and jewlry, different looks though, they both had their hair styled by a master stylist and they looked georgeous (i was jealous). They were even dancing in unison. Weird, though, that there were so many 'afk' men standing around them lol.

But i just wanted to point out that what i have seen of exotic, it is well worth getting to master dancer (or dk3) for such a beautiful dance

Why does every bar have to feature female dancers appealing to the prurient side of life? Sure, sometimes you want to gaze on the female form, but other times you just want to kick back with a brew and some good tunes and relax.

How does a scantily clad female performing an erotic dance impede your ability to kick back and relax? Just curious.

News flash, all dancing is sexual in nature. Some more so than others...

This is simply not true. Not ALL dancing is sexual in nature.

Even modern "belly dance," considered by many to beone of the most erotic of dance styles, gets some of its inspiration from some purely religious, most-defintely non-sexual dances, such as the whirling of the Dervishes (a trance dance done by men of the Mevlevi and Jerahi sects of Islam) or Zar, a Middle Eastern shamanistic trance dance oftenusedfor exorcisms. The eroticism of belly dance can pretty much be attributed to an enterprising Victorian American by the name of Sol Bloom, who decided to cash in on the scandal he would bring by exhibiting this dance to the Westernized world. He called it "The Hoochie-Coochie" dance. In the 60's American Hippies revived Middle Eastern dance and gave it some new flourishes, then the movie industry (first American, then Egyyptian)added the sequins, jewels, and flash that modern belly dance has become. This new glamorous style was so catchy, thattoday, mostnative Middle Eastern dancers are doing more of what was invented by the entertainment industry and less of what is actually true Beladi (or Balady - the term literally means "of the country", so this would be a country or folk dance). The truth is, that therehave beenmany different styles of dance done in Middle Eastern (and North African) countries, many of which were done behind doors closed to westerners, andthey go back so far into history, that it can only be speculated today exactly what AUTHENTIC Middle Eastern dance would be. One thing that is known for sure, is that "belly dance" is not authentic.

So a little lesson about what is probablythe sexiest of all dances, which is mostly only sexy because Americans made it so. ;-)

When I first heard that you could be a full-time dancer in SWG, my reaction was "how stupid and boring does that sound!" But once I saw that many of the moves were taken from belly dance, I decided the profession had to be mastered. I, myself am a "belly dancer, IRL, and I think it's great that the dance form has been represented in game, but I also hope that it's not cheapened by too many people who are not aware of the dance forms background. It's a beautiful dance form - likening it to lapdancing or striptease justdoesn't do it justice.

Ok, this I have to disagree with you on, unless you're counting "Sorry, hun, you've got the wrong equipment to intrest me." as a sexual relationship.

Or "Not on a bet," which is the current relationship between me and an ex...BEST of friends, but there's no hormonal interest left at all. Zip. Nada. Been there a few years ago, got the Tshirt (and the jewelry, and the DVDs, and the...) Granted, it started out as exceeding;y sexual, but....
