I mean what I mean. Figure that one out.
Yes, I don't have much respect for those who only engage in only one single method of game play especially when that method requires heavy dependence of other people. (Yeah tip's dependence because it isn't commission. You only get it because your customer wills it.)

Ok, I will figure it out. This must be what you mean:
All restaurant servers in real life work in a profession you could not feel proud being a part of. Anyone that works for tips such as taxi drivers, wait staff, valet parkers, bell hops needs to find more respectable work. "Those People" definitely should not be proud of what there doing.
Yea, I think that's the jest of it.

Those people get commissions and tips. (Unfortunately, they are taxed for the tips in Real Life. Tip them well if you can.) See no one works on tips alone. Proud or no proud a whole another matter. You are correct I should have used a better term.
That's all there is to it. Take it easy.In fact, I had a wonderful day on Dantooine. A good doctor healed my wounds and I tipped him. Then later, I healed his mind and he tipped me the same amount. It was quite funny when we realized. I ended up staying for a whole hour before I went off for a hunt. I ended up downing few nightsister slaves each giving me 3,000 XP 300 Combat XP. It was great! The matter ofa fact is thatI am doing this even though I am a master dancer. It is certainly possible to anyone.

P.S. I love the faces of people when I rescue them with a title Master Dancer floating over my head.
Hello everyon, I became a master dancer for 4 days ago and the road to it has been tough, really tough! I admit I have used the afk 2 times *blushes* over the night, but then I was not in the centre, I was hiding in the back so no one would get disturb by me being afk.
About tip issue, well don't we all love it when they show how much our dance meant to them? I sure do apreciate tips very much! I am happy with every little credit I get. I agree on 1 credit tip, even tough I am lucky enough to not have experiences that yet... but 50 credits is close enough, heh?
Tip whatever you want to tip, but not under 100 as many has already said. /smile
The other day my husband , a few guildies, and I were sitting OUTSIDE the cantina on Lok. This guy ran up and begged to be healed. He had bad mind and body wounds. I sighed and said okies even though we were headed home. I went in and danced and then he didn't tip me a cent! I complained in group and lol my husband, who was just about to heal him, says "how come you didn't tip my wife?' The guy responded "oh her? She got exp! I never tip dancers." My response was that I ceased getting exp LONG ago and dance now cause I choose to dance not because I get some crummy exp
The guy just shrugged it off and , of course, was not healed by my husband ![]()
I have never ever minded a small tip cause lol usually they rem to see you again when they are flush or whatever...but I thought that was really the height of rudeness.

I don't know that I have a set amount. I have had people tip me from 1 credit to 100k. There are people who have tipped me well who didn't have much and others who were boasting of how much they just made tip me nothing. I never danced for the credits, I did it to relax and kick back from the stress and do something DIFFERENT. I don't dance for the credits now.
I have made alot of friends that if they asked, I would pay my own way to where ever they were to dance and buff them. I have said thank-you for every tip I ever received and never danced afk in my life. Some people have never tipped me in credits, but they spent long hours healing me so I could keep going. I have gotten the waypoints to great resources and have followed up on that and then sold them for WAY more than anyone was going to be able to tip me in cash.
On my other character, which is NOT a dancer, I tip 500credits when I get healed. I tend to save it up and so I have alot when I get to a cantina where there is a muscian or a dancer around. I do the same with medics, although I can heal myself (slowly). Money is easy to make in SWG. I don't care who you are or what profession, there are ways to make enough money you don't need to rely on tips alone.
As for AFK entertainers, who cares. I sure don't. They have never taken one thing from me, not exp, tips or friends. They are the loosers, not me.

It might shock you even more that I have been a master dancer and master entertainer for a very long time now. Meaning I havn't needed EXP for a very long time now. I still feel this way. Master or not the relationship is the same the patron is forced to come to us for battle fatuige healing therefore he doesn't owe us a thing for this service because he has no choice but to use this service. That relationship is the "draw" it's how we get patrons into the cantina in the first place. Once they are there we should entertain them (our true purpose in my opinion) If we do that and they are so inclined then a tip is in order but no patron should feel obligated to tip especialy if an entertainer merely provides the service they were forced to enter the cantina for.
*cough* *sputter*
I'm shocked to read that in the Dancer forum. I suppose that some Entertainers do really feel that XP is their payment. But the XP is for the benefit of the patron and does no good for Masters. Er, let me dig up an old post.

Not entirely true, the patron can learn Ent and heal themself at the cost of some valuable skill points and time.
I think your point was good, but I just don't think that the majority of cantina patrons appreciate the Ents for true entertainment purposes. Regardless, they should still tip for service.

There are two things that i go by when tipping. First, i go by how much healing I need. If I have tons of wounds and battle fatigue, i usually tip more. Another important factor that influences how much I tip it the effort that the dancer puts in. If the entertainer is AFK, or simply not doing anything, I usually don't tip very much. On the other hand, if the entertainer is doing flourishes, emotes, and having fun with it, I tip more. Another important factor is what you can afford. Now that I have been playing for a couple months, I can afford to tip rather well. When I first started, 100 creds was all I could tip cause that was about all I had. Now if I have a reasonably high amount of wounds that need healed, and the enterainer is active, I usually tip upwards of 800 to 1000 creds. Sometimes more if Im feeling particularly generous.
