I came to this thread hoping to find a FAQ. Although I did not find a FAQ document I did find many helpful comments by everyone.
I was sorry to see the flaming in the last few posts.
I am not a dancer and have no intention of becoming one. I just like to ready and learn about all of the professions. I just thought it would help me interact with dancers and not have to ask all the same old questions that they get asked all the time. I am a M. Doc and feel many of the dancer issues are in line with many of the Doc issues (tell hell, bank tip scams, buff questions/issues, etc)
I suggest when writting up the FAQ for dancers you may want to take a look at a few of the others. The Doc FAQ is very good as are many others. It is a bit boring but very informative.
IMO the goal of a FAQ is simply to help people along with what every play style they may have and to answer as many of the common questions as you can. It is intendedas a "this is how XXX reallyworks" document. If there has been some good threads on the different views of hot topics such as AFK macros then simply attach the link and leave it at that. Don't take sides but do offer the topic so that people will know the pros/cons.
Also the FAQ can be a document that reflects both the content and style of the prof. As entertainers you could add lots of fun stuff in it.
Good luck on writting it up. I look forward to reading it.
If I just missed it some how please let me know.

No, no, you didn't miss it.
I wrote my own very straight forward version, then I said "hmm, this might be more fun" so I posted this and I want to give it a week.
We will have a quick reference version... so people who are in a hurry can get right to the short answers. The short answer to "Why am I not getting any tips?" would be "You need to talk to people." but the quote in the first post gives a lot more detail.
You're not going to ever read anything from SOE saying "do this part of your leveling AFK, here's how" but it is allowed and creates some unique issues for us. I doubt our FAQ will discuss AFK at all other than to say "if you do AFK, here is how to do it politely"... I think that is both fine and appropriate.
Our only other AFK FAQ item might be about notposting a new AFK thread... I think we have plenty already.
Thanks for your input!
